For the moment, Hammer was able to endure the surging energies of the Requiem Blaster.
Bootleg, Ironclad, and Razorwing continue to hold off the onslaught of drones and blasterfire.

âMove out of the way.â said Hammer to the others so they could get away from the Blast radios range as he aimed the Requiem Blaster at the onslaught of drones and fired at them.
The destructive blast annihilates the drones and clears the corridor, allowing our heroes to advance.
âBig⌠gun!â Zip drools, needing Cargo and Killstreakâs help to drag him onwards.

âWowâŚit doesnât even leave the remains of the dronesâŚthis thing is deadlyâŚâ said Hydro as he looked at Hammer seeing his eyes glowing more red then before.
âLets go.â said Hammer to the others as he walked towards the corridor.
The corridor opened to a T-shaped intersection. From the right rushes a laser grid towards our heroes, and from the left was another wave of drones that open fire upon them.
Hammer aims and shots at the laser grid first and he aims again quickly and aims at the wave of drones and shots at them as well.
Hydro was a bit behind Hammer, leaving him to do the job since he got the big gun.
The gridâs projectors are destroyed in a spectacular flash of red.
The second blast obliterates most of the drones down the hall.

Cargo, Killstreak, and Coalburn follow closely behind, with Zipline being dangled along.

Hammer walked through the corridor, wanting to find a exit so that the heroes will leave the place.
The only two ways out were either the breach our heroes had made to get into the fortess earlier, or the main entrance. Both had a swath of defenses between them and our heroes.
Hammer decided to take the main entrance. He walked towards the main entrance with Hydro being a bit behind but still having his friends back if needed.
Hammerâs optics still glowing with pure red as red flames were being imitated from his optics, sensing the surge of power through him but he did not let it corrupt him, as he used the Requiem Blaster to blast at the defenses blocking his way out.
Killstreak and Cargo sling Zip onto Coalburnâs back, where he finally started firing at the defenses.
Firestorm tried to help ease Hammerâs burden by blasting at defenses alongside him.
Seraphicon kept close to Maximus and Axis to protect them by trying to use the Star Saber to keep the defenses from harming the Eukarians.

Piston walked behind Firestorm, firing missiles at the drones.
Energy blasts from the Star Saber and the Requiem Blaster tear through the obstacles in our heroesâ path, and their other attacks also rip apart the fortressâs defenses.

âA well done job.â said Hammer making his way out of the main entrance.
Hydro loosely followed Hammer.
And so, our heroes are free to leave the fortress with the Requiem Blaster now in their possession.
Hammer would want to remove the weapon from his forearm soon.

Firestorm called for everyone to get moving before the long range defenses start attacking them.
Piston transformed into tank mode. âHop in.â He offered . The thick plate armor would stand slightly longer than normal armor.
