…Is it bad that I’ve never played a single Pokemon game?
Okay lemme whip out my GBA.
My dream team (for Gen 1 at least, I don’t have any games above Gen 2) are as follows:
Charizard - Flamethrower, Fire Spin, Strength, Dig (Dig can 1 shot a level 60 Dugtrio)
Kabutops - Scratch, Slash, Surf, Take Down (keep in mind scratch and slash are mega beefed)
Aerodactyl - Sky Attack, Supersonic, Fly, Fire Blast
Moltres - Peck (I know), Fire Spin, Fly, Razor Wind
Jolteon - Don’t know
Gyarados - Don’t know
Charizard and Kabutops are the brute force of the pack, while Aerodactyl Moltres and Jolteon are backup guys. Gyarados is only used in really bad situations.
I don’t know the moves for Jolteon or Gyarados because I never had them in game.

Hmmm… picking some of my pokemon from my Gen 6 games specifically:
Celebi (Hikaru)
Dusknoir (Reaper)
Chandelure (Lux)
Goodra (Anna)
Sharpedo (Speedy)
Latios (Winona)
But this is just for a journey in general. Hikaru and Speedy aren’t really cut out for competitive play. I also have a bunch of other competitive pokemon, but it would take a bit to list them.

My first legitimate team on any pokemon game was on emerald:

My first team evrar was in Pokemon Silver.

This started the Nyran Trend of always needing in a team: At least one Fire, Water, and Electric or Grass(preferably Electric) type, and Hopefully a Flying Type
My White Two Team was so long ago I remember it not, but my X team was as follows:

Grumpig
Aegislash
Salamence
The thing about waiting for Salamence was that every time I’d see a Sky Trainer on my journey, I’d just sorta look at Bagon/Shelgon wistfully claiming “one day…”
And then as soon as I evolved Salamence, I went through all of Kalos, and brutally destroyed every Sky Trainer I passed over.

I’ve never played any of the Pokemon video games, are there any for PC?
Any way I do know a little about the Pokemon cards though, and these are some of my favorites types of Pokemon based on that knowledge.
1 favorite: Charizard (profile pic)
2 favorite: Lugia
3 favorite: Reshiram
4 favorite: Deoxys
5 favorite: Metang
6 favorite: Moltres
You can download an emulator and play some on there, probably.
You won’t get the full experience though, anything to do with wifi probably won’t work.
There are also the pokemon website game, but those are just your standard website games.

Of course, if your willing to play one of the older games (gen 3 and lower), then it probably won’t matter anyway.
