2059: The Invasion

A knock was heard on the door of the courtroom

“Come in!” The judge calls

Yakiv walked in flanked by Mule.
“I have a small complaint, superheroes are definitely a problem generator but. It seems to mostly be the newer generation of heroes who are causing the problems no? I propose that we license these heroes instead, think about it: you have a supply of people willing to help those in need for no money at all. We just need to control them. Give the ones who we can trust to keep their cool licences and invite them into the police force or military.”

“He raises a fair point, who is this man?” The judge asks
“He is a UN CTO Operative, he has helped fight multiple terrorists and has earned many people’s respect!” Oliver replies

Mark sat up in his bed, rubbing at his eyes as he stood up. He then went downstairs, where Richard sat at the kitchen table, eating breakfast and reading the paper.

Serial Killer Resurfaces After 40 Years

In the last few months, there have been a recent string of gruesome killings and murders, almost exactly similar to those committed by a being only known as ‘shade’, which suddenly stopped 40 years ago. It is unknown whether this killer is real or a copycat. If it is real, than questions are raised as to why they have suddenly started back up…
“Nope, nothing important here!” Richard said as he closed the paper, taking a bite from his toast.

“Morning, Richard.” Mark sleepily said as he poured a glass of orange juice.

Katrina nodded. “Alright.”

The human glanced at the two coming towards him. He laughed. “Pathetic heroes.” The human began walking away at a quick pace.

BladeWing groaned. “Okay, you know what? I’m doing this.” He stepped into a shadow and stepped out in front of the mansion door. He took off his helmet and knocked.

“Thank you, I am Yakiv Melnychuk, united nations weapons tester and counter terrorism operative. I know firsthand the problems that meta-humans and tinkers can cause”
he says gesturing around the courtroom with his prosthesis
“Your honour I know full well that some of these individuals use their powers to help while others use them to live out their power fantasies calling themselves heroes. Banning them will just lead to meta-humans and other powerful individuals storming us and causing a war.”

After the five minutes passed he carries himself out of bed and yawns again, he yawns and stands up and stretches himself and walks outside of his room which he then sees Hope standing on a stand.

“Morning, Hope.” he greeted as he walked to the bathroom. “Look at me, I’m a mess.” he said, as he started washing his face and brushing his teeth.

Carlie looked unhappily, before summoning her Stand and setting up a string going above the crowd. She reached out and grabbed Kim’s arm, then grabbed the rope. Moments later they had appeared in front of Toxin, and Carlie looked him clearly in the eyes.

“My eyes might have tricked me, but I though I saw something a bit strange. Are you all right, sir?”

Kim struggled to regain his balance behind her.

“It seems not all of them seem to help…” the president sighs “Some such as the ‘hero’ The Hidden One have cost our city a lot of money in damages”
“It always confused me why Jordan would always crawl back to that guy…” Frank sighs
“Because Jordan’s a criminal who broke the law!” Ricky replied “I could and would have him arrested for his crimes!”

Katrina was in the kitchen, cooking breakfast.

The man frowned.
“Of course I’m okay. Why wouldn’t I be?”
The two might notice that his eyes were unfocused.

Elias knocked again.

“Oh I agree, the Hidden one has definitely caused problems, but then there are ones such as O2?”

As Bruce finished he walked outside the bathroom, looking fresher than after.
He walks behind Katrina and kisses her chick. “Morning, I’m back now.”

“Great!” Katrina said.
“Have you heard about the murders? Sounds like another bad guy.”

“He raises good points, I will say we shall sleep on this until we have come to a full conclusion, you are all excused!” The judge and the president say

“Well…” he said as he started to make some coffee. “I think.” he said touching his forehead. “Man I needed that sleep, really.”

“How about I put in an opinion?” a voice said in the courtroom. It was none other than Detective Pierce.

Kim leaned up and whispered something int Carlie’s ear. She nodded, before leaning forward and getting pretty much into Toxin’s face. “Are you sure sir? Your eyes seem a bit distant. Perhaps you’re drunk, would you like an escort back to a safe place? You never know what unsavory characters you’ll meet out here.”

Catherine, better known as Project: Novus, patrolled the skies of the city, looking for any criminal unlucky enough to cross her path.

Malware, on the other hand, skulked around in alleyways, looking for anyone to have fun messing with.

Project: Runa had been working on Project: Meteor for the past few months. In fact, progress had developed so far that it was less than a week until testing phase took place. After dealing with a few setbacks, he had also decided to bring his Celestial prisoner, Llillaa Teenuka, to the base, to have another mind working on the project. For once, he takes a step back and looks over his work. “Should be finished with construction within the week.” He comments to Llillaa.
(@Jcton, just in case)

“Well I think first we should go now and you come back at the next meeting…” Mr Whiteham says
“I disagree” the judge replied “Rivers Pierce, I’m inclined to hear!”
