2nd Annual TFM Awards!

Who else loves how nominees chosen by the community are rejected even if they fit the category they were nominated for, because I sure do.

…What?..

TFM rejects some of the things people nominate because he doesn’t think it fits the criteria, even if they fit it.

Like what?

plz elaborate.

Let’s see:

  • You voted for multiple people for Roleplay Character and Not_Mod which seems fair enough. No where in the rules does it say you can’t. Most of these choices were rejected.

  • Scorpion_Strike posted Payinku’s Teridax for Recreation of a Villain, but it was rejected because it wasn’t a form of artwork. So if you can go back on your rules (i.e. what happened with the singular nomination), why can’t you modify it to include MOCs?

  • A ton of Scorpion_Strike’s wut nominations got cut for no good reason, besides TFM’s bias. If they caused SS to say what?, shouldn’t it get included no matter what?

  • Same thing happened to the story category, where TFM rejected every story offered for the one that he thought should win.

Hmmm…

Interesting.

What, it was? Gotta admit, highly disappointed.

Feels like these awards lack any real merit, considering the apparent lack of integrity.
Why have a vote, or even nominations if you’re going to veto anything you don’t like?

I honestly have no explanation for this, other than I had thought I had explained it thoroughly enough. I sincerely apologize for not stating that it only was 1 nomination per category per person. Yet another reason for me to be self-depreciating.

It is not that I don’t like it, it is that I, as stated above, thought I had explained 1 nomination per category per person.

Once more, I sincerely do apologize for making this statement a possibility.

If you need me, I’ll be… doing something better for my life then drowning in self guilt.

But there’s no reason to not nominate multiple items. If you’re allowed to add yourself, why wouldn’t you be able to have multiple entries. All it really does it give a wider selection.

But you never stated it in the main topic. This just makes it a rule you added later on, which makes your selection of specific topics more than bias.

Care to elaborate?

Okay.

I said that is the post.

I was operating under it the entire time, though.

Thank you to those who found a flaw in the Awards. Like any MOC, this is made by a human, and anything made by humans is bound to have mistakes.

Like criticizing a MOC, criticizing the Awards only makes it better, so I actively encourage finding flaws in my stuff, that it may be improved for later use.

Scorpion_Strike nominated himself for oddest user, which you accepted[quote=“TFM101, post:54, topic:30053”]

Though I only glanced over the topic descriptions, I couldn’t find that rule anywhere in the main topic. If you could prove me wrong, then my critique becomes incorrect.

But it was an unspoken rule. Therefore, it becomes unofficial.[quote=“TFM101, post:54, topic:30053”]

There’s a big difference between pointing out the flaws of a MOC and the flaws of an award “show”. The latter needs a good reputation from the beginning to the end, but if said reputation is tattered, it can never make a comeback.

Oh. I… did not think that. [quote=“Plural, post:55, topic:30053”]

You have, sadly, a point. Perhaps I should work on something as large scale as this through out the entire year, making sure it is as perfect as it can be.

Why am I stating this?
So that if I don’t, someone can prove I didn’t follow through as I said.

Am I crazy? Yes. Does it make sense? Also yes.

Yeah, we’re not really seeing much merit in this topic staying open. We appreciate your desire to uplift members of the community, but we feel it can be done in other ways.

Thank you for your cooperation.
