A couple of masks

So a long long time ago, in the far off year of 2015, Lego hosted a contest create IRL masks out of constraction pieces. I had never considered entering, but after I saw how much fun my friends were having, I decided I’d start on my own mask.

…I didn’t get very far.

However, on the night that I was building this…thing, my sister came into my room and asked what I was doing. I told her about the contest, and how a 14 karat gold mask was at stake. Then she did something that totally baffled me. My sister, who is 2 years older than me and has never showed any type of interest with Lego (let alone Bionicle), started to build a mask. She was grabbing pieces left and right, and assembling them in ways I would never thought of (largely because they were illegal and unstable).

To this day, I still don’t really understand why she did it. I guess it’s because she’s a competitive person. At any rate, I’ve had it assembled for 3 years now, and I figured it was high time I posted it so I could disassemble it for parts.

Sisters are entirely unpredictable, you can’t trust them whatsoever.

In any case, I like the color blocking on your mask. :stuck_out_tongue:

I remember that contest so much fun! Even thou I didn’t win. :sunglasses: :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
I don’t have my mask built anymore tho :sob: I have some pictures of it  but none the less it’s fun to see what the competition was like.

As for the mocs, they are far superior to mine. Nice job!

Despite apparently using illegal techniques and the texturing being a bit messy, I see potential there. You should see if you can get your sister to MOC a bit more.

I don’t have one, but for some odd reason I agree with this statement

Also, both masks are pretty well done
