I know he doesn’t work with Lego anymore but if somehow somebody commissioned him about answering some questions would he answer them or would he be unable to? Even if it is a hypothetical question that would have no impact on any possible future sets or any past stories like if this character would have a rhotuka launcher what would their rhotuka power be?
I really think Greg has better things to do with his time than answer questions like “what if character A was in situation B that would be so wacky wouldn’t it”
Also, I’m pretty sure he would much more happily take a paid commission to, like, write something as is his job instead of answering even more questions about the lore of the property he was never story designer for
Greg has always made it extremely clear in past answers that Bionicle is Lego’s IP, and any official work he did on the theme was as a Lego employee with authourization from his bosses; since Greg is no longer a Lego employee, he would be both unwilling and unable to answer questions in any official capacity.
Thanks for telling me, even though this kind of killed a dream I had for many years.
On top of that I can guarantee he would just tell you that information does not exist, because he made things up as he needed them for the story. He rarely answered hypotheticals.
The reason I asked about a hypothetical question is I don’t want him to get in trouble with Lego. But I see another reason why that dream has died. I just always wanted to ask him many things, I would even be willing to commission a large sum of money if that what he required but I guess I am few years too late since I couldn’t save up the money no matter how hard I tried.
