Lauren walks down the street, mentally counting the house numbers as she approaches.
“What am I even doing?” she mutters to herself, not for the first time that night. “This is stupid. I should be at home. What would I even do, anyways? I dunno, but it would be better than this.” She takes a deep breath as she notices the correct house. “That’s the one.” She walks timidly up to the door.
