I know that there were Great Beings that created the Matoran as well as many things. I also know that Matoran also dabbled with technology, such as the Akilini field tournament computer. There is one thing I would like to know, has the great beings or matoran ever created a intelligent user interface or Ai? I mean going back to the 2000s, we had something such as the Office Assistant when we open up Microsoft.
I know that we used to have these Office Assistants to help us. But if we humans are just like the matoran, or great beings, do you think they might have Ai or intelligent user interfaces similar to ours? If so what were the names of the intelligent user interfaces and what did they look like? Also please provide references that is part of the Bionicle storyline. Thank you.
No, there were no smart systems or AI on the scale of Clippy. The argument could be made that every inhabitant of the MU was AI, but they fit the definition of artificial life much more than artificial intelligence.
Like Ghid, I can’t think of any serious AI user interfaces. Technically, I guess the Rahi may count because they’re “intelligent” beings created by the Makuta, but I don’t think that’s what you’re looking for.
Not everything fan-related needs to have an exact comparison in canon to mostly copy from; it’s an Original Creation for a reason - namely, it has some originality to it. If you want to make an artificial intelligence original character it might be better to go about it in a fashion which doesn’t demand the community provide hard evidence behind something which may or may not exist:
And for the record, there had to have been some kind of AI systems in the MU, as the Vahki and Marendar exist, but there is no instance where either of their AI is portrayed in any meaningful way, as the former was incapable of speech and the latter never physically appeared in the story. You’re better off being creative on this one.
