Just now I made my own self-MOC. Special Thanks for @Toa_Vladin who gave me the idea for the self-MOC. So here is it!
Back story: Radrix was just a Shadow Matoran of Antroz, But when Mata nui kills Makuta, he evolved into a Toa of Shadows. He invaded Mata Nui, and Made a big empire.
the lower half of the body is too thin
and also disproportionate
The limbs and abdomen are too skinny, and the wings are kinda dinky, also it has no thumbs.
Well, it’s a start.
That start does seem a little too close to Antroz, though considering your name, that’s to be expected. The addition of trans-orange does the most to differentiate him. I suppose the grey as well, but that just mutes the possibility of a really striking color scheme. If you have the opportunity to trade that grey CCBS out for black, it’ll have a lot more contrast. I’d also suggest you remove the HF feet in his ankles, or trade them for black, as it is they have no matching (external) pieces in that color. Also, maybe add a little silver into his arms or his hands, to match the Tridax pod and the silver in his feet.
I can’t say I like the legs at all. You have two long CCBS bones with small armor shells inside of them. I’m of the opinion that smaller, Toa-scale MOCs are easiest to make look good, but if you want to keep the longer scale, then either go for larger armor pieces or a combination of armor pieces on each limb, or even give him a double-jointed leg with three bones.
For the torso, the waist definitely needs some kind of armor, and that could take the place of those technic pieces in holding in the Tridax pod. The shoulder joints could be armored over, but I think he’d look better if you just moved them in, perhaps over the pod holder.
Arms and wings are fine, but I feel like a black bone with the trans-orange shell on it would work better.
