Arcana: the downfall

He looked for anyone matching the same color, as well as wearing similar clothes that the bandits wore.

“it’s doing well I think,” the etherite replied

There was two in the back with matching insignias

Frostvin frowned. “You think?”

Jeromy subtly motioned toward them to get Lihem’s attention. Lihem shrugged assuming it was just a coincidence that they had the same color insignia, but decided to check it out any way. He began making his way toward them, and Jeromy studied them, looking for any weaponry, or anything that seemed out of the ordinary.

“I sorry, but when some stranger starts asking you about about the population of your spieces you tend to be on edge,” he replied sarcastically

They each had a bow and a saber, their masks had opened at the mouths to allow for them to drink

Seeing that they wore masks made Jeromy even more suspicious. “Ask if they travel out side the city often.” The gecko whispered to his friend. Lihem complied and approached the duo. “Nice weaponry,” Lihem said as he nodded at their sabers.

“I’m an Etherite, for goodness sake! I’m legitimately concerned about our species, with the downfall of magic and whatnot!” Frostvin shouted.

They simply nod in response, before returning to their drinks

The bar goes silent, and the etherite scowls, before saying to the bar, “tender, this etherite seems to have lost it, I suggest you kick him out before he causes any chaos.”

Frostvin rolls his eyes and stalks out of the tavern. “Lousy, no good…” He mutters.

“Do you travel outside the city often? Weapons don’t seem that useful here in Winterfall unless you plan on joining the games.” Lihem continued in a lighthearted manner. To the bandits it would seem more like he was just attempting to make conversation rather than pry for information.

“why?” Asked the one to the left

As Isadau drank even more, Saras looked around for anyone bearing either a tattoo of the Mark of the Azarana, or someone with the Mark painted onto their shield.

“No reason,” Lihem said with a shrug. “I guess I just find adventuring interesting. Its had to come by good adventurers these days, and you two just struck me as the adventuring type.”

“then it’s none of your business.”

“Ok, that’s fine.” Lihem said as he began walking back to the other members of the group.

“Well they were nice.” Jeromy remarked sarcastically after they were out of earshot.

“Yeah, they were acting rather cross, though this is Winterfall, people here aren’t known for their cheer. It could easily just be a coincidence.” Lihem replied.

Frostvin sat outside the tavern, sketching a nearby tree covered in snow. He was still angry.

Edward ordered some water and sat down at the front counter of the tavern.

Outside there was a loud clangs of armor as the polis 's inner gaurd with red armor dragged an etherite with his face covered by a bag. A massive soldier led the March, “a trial for the murder of officer Cronea shall commence in an hour, all are welcome to spectate, and if anyone wishes to defend this dirty murderer so be it. The Colosseum shall be open for you.”

Edward, sitting in the tavern, decided he wanted absolutely nothing to do with this. The less he was involved with the locals the better. He sat and drank his water. Though a thought did cross his mind.

After he finished his glass he stepped outside. He thought it unlikely, but wanted to be absolutely certain that it wasn’t the old magic man or any of the other etherite party members.

The etherite’s garbs certainly looked familiar…
