Not much is known about the thing that terrors Darkra Forest.
The Locals Call it AVKRA which means Light Shadow because when two Matoran came back they said it was like a Spirit flashing like a Bolt of lighting.

It could be a Figment of the Power left their by the Tribe that lived their Protecting It, It could be a Haunted Mask from a Betrayed Toa, Or Something Worst.

Their was only a couple of sources one of them being this Journal

He could be a Betrayed Av Matoran which masks was Possessed by a ghost

He does not have legs
think of them as Flagella It helps him move quicker

I think of them as claw
