Barong, Toa of Gravity

I wanted purple. So this guy was born. I’ve also always wanted a Toa of Gravity because it sounds like a fun concept.
P.S. I like the Inika build. Fight me.

But that led me to ask? Why? Why gravity? Where in the GSR would these Matoran and Toa have use?
My inspiration? (Asides from the internal artificial gravity system)…

Ba-Matoran would originate from two different Southern Continents, one in each leg. Two distinct populations with similarities, but are uniquely separate from each other. We’ll call them Ba-Le Nui and Ba-Ri Nui.

Why two? I’m sure it takes a lot of power and gravitational manipulation for the GSR to leave a planet, fly through space, and even walk with precision on a planet’s surface. Thats where the Ba-Matoran have their duty. Controlling these separate systems in each leg to assure the GSR has precision and elegance in its colossal movements.

Non-canon origins aside, here is Barong, my Toa of Gravity from Ba-Ri Nui.

He is armed with a Proto-steel Chainblade and a Proto-Steel launcher with built in targeting systems. He utilizes a Pakari in conjunction with his gravitational powers to frightening effect.

The tubes I decided gave him a more pressurized and heavy look, I feel like this helps his accentuated build by making him appear dense and compact.

Cracking knuckles, he has finger articulation. I wanted him to have large hands, as I imagine them being useful in both low and high gravities for either reaching and or lifting.

I designed his launcher with the intent of it being a projectile that he is able to manipulate with his powers, while being different enough from a zamor launcher canonically. Its targeting system also prevents the ammo from running off.

His chain-blade also can be utilized with his powers, allowing him to quickly rip up objects around him to turn into even more objects to be manipulated.

The figure can also store his tools for utility.

The wings on the back of his arm were inspired for a low-gravity glided control, should he choose to make himself lower density.

Let me know what you guys think!
