Just in time for Mermay, it’s the Creeps from the Deep themselves! It’s the Barraki!! I loved drawing these boys this time around. I really tried to lean into the mutations from the pit, and I think it worked really well

Those are what I call “mutated”. Very nice work, I like both ideas and executions. Ehlek is my favorite here, I almost can hear his nervous hissing.
Why doesn’t Carapar have feet?

Yeah! I thought I’d make his legs like crab legs, where instead of having a flat foot, the just taper down into a point. Plus, it kinda helps balance out the design

I don’t know, Carapar’s legs look like they were, ahem, chopped off, and the brown color is dried blood. Maybe I just overthink it though…
I think Ehlek is the best because he combines his animal features with humanoid ones best. He is not as bestial as Pridak here, but more bestial than Mantax. Very interesting pose too, with one of his hands being behind the legs, more dynamic than others, I believe.

Wow, Amazing designs and beautiful art style! Each one is so unique, it’s hard to pick a favourite, but I’d say that I like Mantax the most, it’s really cool how you were able to make the most boring and lame Barraki look so special

Wow these are great new head canon I think each one of them has been interpreted so well, I think that mantax is my favourite with ehlek coming in at a close second, I also like the way you’ve draw certain pieces like takadox‘s lower arm or mantax’s shoulders, great job 10/10
