Does anyone else remember this? Even though I was born long after it premiered, I still saw it from time to time. They recently added it to Amazon Prime, so I’ve been binge watching it since. I love the unique aesthetic and the 1930’s-esque world it is set in. Plus the Joker is
What do you think about the series?
This series is absolutely amazing.
My favorite episode has got to be “Almost Got 'Em,” when the villains play poker and discuss the times when they almost defeated Batman. Oh, and there’s plenty of great scenes in that one, primarily this one:
‘Christmas with the Joker’ is my favorite so far, Mark Hamill is great for the role. I love how Robin is so set on watching ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ in it
The Joker is probably one of the best parts of the show. Not to mention the re-invention of the Scarecrow, the introduction of Harley Quinn, and spectacular versions of other villains and heroes.
Oh, and Batman is also pretty great in the show, too. His voice is spot-on. Did I mention they used most of the voices from this series in the Arkham games?
My mom walked in while I was watching the first episode, and she noted that Bruce still talks in his ‘Batman’ voice when he’s in the Batcave with Alfred.
I just found a place where I could watch it
it’s gud, and I already do know some of the effects of the show
Harley was actually created in the show, Mr. Freeze’s backstory was made more tragic and stuff there
and the Arkham games pretty much spawned from it
Fun fact, that Freeze episode won an Emmy.
The best superhero series IMO. I’m glad I grew up with this caped crusader.
Batman’s series were the best…
Until Brave and the Bold.
Let’s not talk about that animated series.
Cries because I’m the only person around that actually enjoyed The Brave and The Bold…
I remember that series a lot and Superman The Animated Series, too.
You’re a mod, you can ban the heretics.
On topic…
yus, batman: TAS
I enjoyed it most the time… but then this happened and it turned me off the DC shows because of the implications of what it means they thought of those female characters;
Though the Music Meister episode is my favourite of any cartoon DC or Marvel.
Still have yet to watch it all, some episodes aged better than others and sometimes Batman comes off as the bad guy creating some of his own villains due to his mistakes.
oh the Birds of Prey song… ugh.
As for BTAS, I credit it most with giving Batman his best quote.
“I am vengeance. I am the night. I. AM. BATMAN.”
I just found out why they chose Mark Hamill for The Joker.
mARK HAMill
Seriously, what a strange coincidence.
Spoopy…
I think it’s crazy!
Still wish that Riddler was in more episodes.
Superb show, watched it early in the school year.
I love all of it.
Especially the Episodes with groups of villains, such as “Almost Got Im”.
