This one’s gonna be tough because I don’t have any visual material to work with. Saved for a regular drawing.

I’d love to see a sea squid and/or shadow leech plushie

you doing requests? How about a egg painted with a mata nui pattern and a bunny? (This is for Easter)

Noted for later.

I thought to myself “doing so many plushies in a row seems kinda repetitive, let’s try a minifigure to make smth fast”. I didn’t enjoy it.

I wanted to save this one by doing interesting stuff over it with masks but the acrylics ate it up.

And back to plushies. I don’t draw Lyrestruck characters enough, so I made another plushie, this time of Estera.

Continuing the latest batch of plushies here is Takanuva.

And here’s Zaktan with noodle arms.

And I figured, since I’ve changed the way I draw plushies over this challenge, I’d draw Macku again. Not the best but it’s neat.

And finally a redo of the pre-pit mutation Carapar. Still gotta update the design but it’s better than day 59.

I have implemented all the requests for day 300, here’s a preview

see you on Tuesday!

Holy smokes, this topic is awesome, and seriously impressive! A CLEAR improvement can be seen between now and the first few posts (can’t imagine how rewarding that must feel. I hate to be that guy, but are you still taking moc suggestions?

Unfortunately I’ve already drawn and inked everything so I can only represent him with a yellow Hau.
Fortunately, there are quite a few Haus

Yes you can still request MOCs, though it will take a while for me to get to it because of how I take breaks after each 100th day.
Only case where I’ll quit taking requests is if I get showered by commissions, which is unlikely to happen because I havent even gotten one.

Yeah it is rewarding (especially the Onewa redraw), but not as much as you might think; the thing that’s improved over this year isn’t as much my art skills in general as it is how I depict Bionicles, or my process of stylisation. What I find more rewarding is getting “lucky” with awesome pieces, as in, searching for portfolio-worthy pieces every day.
What I wanna try for the next set of 100 is improving my character designing, which will be tough to keep up daily, but if I pull it off it’s gonna be the most rewarding part of the whole challenge.

Sorry for the length of that last reply, take it as me thinking out loud

Don’t apologize at all, cool to see the thought process.

Sick! If you do ever find the time, I’d love it if you did something with my Toa of Water, Gelhennan.

Aight, I’ll draw 'im when I return.

For now;

I have yet to draw the Mask of Creation or Ekimu half-decently.

And the main attraction, day 300!
PLUSHIE MANIA!!
This is a double whammy of an overly-ambitious first page and day 300, and so it’s extra big. The drawing and inking took forever, usually these take around an hour an a half, sometimes more, Mata Nui took 2 days, this took 5.

I’ll definitely do smth for the anniversary (March 25th iirc), as for when I return, I think I’ll take a longer break this time, to build up my buffer more (I’ve had to do plushie batches a lot recently), and give myself some time to do character designs. See you in a few weeks!

The plushie mound made me think of the claw machine from toy story, just massive. As a day 300 milestone, Id say its definitley fitting, and turned out great!

This is a really beautiful take on the plushies. Say is this taking place in a skill crane? You know, the machine where you grab a toy?

Well, that’s just impressive.

300 days of drawing Bionicle characters is a daunting task for anyone, and especially with the watercolor aesthetic you’re pursuing. Take your well-deserved break my friend, you’ve earned it.

Say @BBLIR will there be an upcoming game later on that uses your art? I ask because this would be really cool. You could make your art into a puzzle or place it in a frame in some 3D game which works similarly to the “DOOM: The Gallery Experience” on newgrounds.
