It, however, was built for the theme. Upon inspecting The Lizard of the Mist’s original topic, it wasn’t even designed with that story in mind. Don’t get me wrong; I like the moc and story, but it just doesn’t comply with one of the very few rules.

Seriously? It was still originally a MOC built for that contest. It’s still on the BZPower entries topic, which I moved over to start my MOC topic. Not only that, but it has also gone through a steady amount of modifications since then. You can even see for yourself on my MOC topic. I guess I misunderstood what you meant by us being allowed to use our entries from the Golden Mask contest. If you it really violates your rules, by all means, ignore the post. It’s your show. Didn’t have enough parts to make another MOC anyways. To eBay!

so how is the judging going
@Artakha_the_Creator I may stick to my rules, but I’m not beyond reasoning. Was the theme of making a creature/character that lived on Okoto what you had when you built the moc?
@Greencapps Okay. Not every judge has finished, but we’re about halfway there. Then I have to work out averages. That’ll be fun.
I will be completely and entirely honest…I had no idea what story significance he had when I built him months ago (somewhere around June). I just felt like building a transforming T-rex. Then, after rewatching Desolation of Smaug, I went for a dragon instead, while modeling some of the transformation scheme after Grimlock in Age of Extinction. I didn’t really develop a story for the MOC until the Golden Mask contest, which was a hastily-written G1-centric tying him in with my MOC Toa team.
In other words…yeah, he was technically written for G1 first, so…yeah, feel free to not count it.
