So here is my Marendar so far. I plan on adding more detailing to the model specifically for purposes such as making the color scheme more consistent and spreading some red and black among the gray portion of the build. He kind of has big shoulders which I may or may not change because like having a normal perfectly human proportioned Marendar just seems kinda lame as opposed to something at least kind of interesting proportion wise. I added ccbs spikey bits to the shoulders to make it kinda resemble the baterra but its not exactly a very noticeable resemblance at all lol. Future versions may have more spikes IDK. I have a lot of time to work on this before the Marendar canon contest so would want to get some feedback now

as I’ve said before, maybe lower the connection point for the shoulders, but keep a good bit sticking above. I also feel the torso could use a bit more filling out. fun concept though!

We shall see. I don’t want to overgreeble the torso thats the one thing. Just add enough greebles for it to make the color scheme consistent. I feel like excessively overgreebled mocs in canon contests just don’t feel right lol

agreed, I just feel the lower portion of the torso is a bit lacking, and how the shoulders are mounted looks spindly (though it totally is a cool way of doing those pistons)

the hard part with the lower torso is that it is not physically connected. It has a tiny bit of room to move back and forth as the consequences of the pistons. The two pins I put in the vahki hips are there to somewhat limit that movement and I worry that If I try too hard to mess with lower torso I might accidentally make an illegal connection. I might have to try and build the torso IRL to test how well it works tbh but at the same time if it looking good comes at the consequence of it being a bit wobbly thats ok its a canon contest not a moc contest
