So…did you remember it as Berenstein? I sure did…
This whole thing is a VERY trippy theory.
I remember it as Illuminati
I just remember it as that show I’ve never watched yet seem to have had fifteen of their books.
Ahh. I forgot about this debate.
I always remember it as Berenstein, myself. This theory is incredibly weird, TBH.
I always remember it Berenstain. That’s just how it is.
It’s an interesting debate, but I wonder what the answer would prove either way. If it’s Berenstain, a bunch of people are mistaken, and if it’s Berenstein, a bunch of people decided to play a trick and lie. I can’t see why anyone should worry about how this will affect their life…after all, if it’s Illuminati, then the fact that they’ve messed with a children’s book series means they’ve undoubtedly messed with more important things too, in which case the Bears are the least of our worries…
I always seemed to remember it as Berenstein Bears
So…
What’s the big deal about it?
And the alt universe thing is stupid. Very. Veeeeery.
When you were a kid, when you would be reading/hearing the books, you probably didn’t pay full attention to the spelling. You have just become used to saying it how your parents would say it, because they said it how their parents said it. Thus you would read the name how you heard it without fully reading every letter (especially a fairly insignificant vowel swap).
The mix-up probably started by people remembering it as Berenstein because we are much more familiar with names that end in 'stein than 'stain, such as Frankenstein and Einstein.
It’s all a matter of psychology as opposed to multiverse theory.
Oh. This debate. I found this when I was looking up dilemma/dilemna. I know I always read it as “Bair-en-STINE”, so I guess I remember it with an e. But what do I know.

Wow. I never actually thought I’d care about the Berenstein Bears again.
Seriously. I’ve always seen it as Berenstein.
The a looks a lot like a cursive e. Kids can’t read cursive. Neither can I.
Problem solved.
(Also, why the Karz is there a capital T in the middle of the name?)

I remember it as “Berenstein”
I never really watched it, but I remember it as berenstein too.
In elementary school, I remember looking for these books in the library’s computer system. I specifically remember spelling it “BerenstAin”, but I was very confused when it corrected it to “BerenstEin”. I also remember being corrected–by my teachers and parents–because I used to say “BarenstAin”, but they claimed it was “BerenstEin”.
I’m not even joking when I say that this “debate” is creeping me out.
Except I could, and I distinctly remember it being an “e.” It freaks me out, honestly.
This must be the reason we thought it was “Berenstien” bears. That’s how they pronounce it in this video.
Oh hey, I guess we are actually displaced from our native universe.
Except how would that happen anyway, and why wouldn’t we remember how it happened if we can remember something so trivial as a children’s book series name.
I think it has something to do with an alien experimental technology that the government found. Some sort of “weapon” that could “change reality” to ensure victory via displacing living beings in a way that reality where victory is achieved is their new home.
It also must induce short term memory loss, or happens seamlessly without notice. Maybe Deja Vu isn’t a brain misfire, but actually us being victim to the “weapon” and being placed in the alternate universe a few seconds off from when we were moved.
And Alzheimer’s is a residual effect from the “weapon” being used to often on someone, thus they don’t know which reality they are in.
I mean, it is painfully obvious that something cosmic had to have happened/happening that caused this. This ain’t science fiction, it’s science fact!
