The Dark Knight, a lot of the animated stuff is pretty great
I feel like ābatman returnsā is my favorite of them all, I loved the penguins portrayal.
I am going to be killed for saying this⦠But I loved Man of Steel. The again I think that just tells people, what I think of the rest of the DC live action films.
I liked MoS, too.
The Dark Knight
Is this even a question? Dark knight easily
Second favorite would probably be rises, but begins is very close
Call me an old soul, but the best live-action DC Comics movie still came out over 30 years agoā¦Batman Returns (1992) IMOā¦and a shiny new Superman toy isnāt going to replace my favorite movie.
Counterpoint
Mask of the Phantasm.
(Although Iām partial to Under the Red Hood & Beginsā¦)
Mask of the Phantasm is great. Kevin Conroy is definitely my favorite Batman overall.
But I am only taking live-action into consideration, and I am much more of a Keaton Batman fan than a Bale fan even though I grew up with Baleās Batman and Keatonās Batman movies came out before I was bornā¦I grew up watching his movies on TV and VHS.
Ah, I see. Personally, I view both live-action and animated as one continuous compendium of film, but on Keatonās side of things if one is looking for a supernatural gothic take, then it encapsulates it well. I suppose it emphasizes the tragedy of Gothamās inhabitants. Taking a peak at the advertising for Returns was one of the most humorous endeavors, simply for how it missed the mark in selling the film short tremendously.
Now looking back on the Bale era, if one still remembers, the hype surrounding The Dark Knight Rises rumors and how shattering it was when they were proven false? I believe the realm of fan-made posters/edits is beginning to be a lost art with this new age of A.I.
