Also the trans masks look cool. Gali’s will likely be in a later set.
Warrior looks so much better Slicer still looks good and Basher is still my favorite. I wish we did not get Scorpio in lime, but I’m cool with it.
EDIT:Are those trans red brain stalks?
Maybe the masks are damaged and their power is leaking. That’s probably the most likely.
I wonder what’s up with those transparent colors on the Golden Masks. Does it have to do with something in the recent animations? I haven’t watched them yet because they’re not in english.

Wait, here’s a crazy (and unlikely) thought: Pohatu, Onua, Lewa, and Kopaka get captured by the Skull Grinder, who somehow turns them into S. Scorpio, S. Basher, S. Slicer, and S. Warrior. Then it’s up to Tahu and Gali to get back the masks (which are turning trans due to S. Grinder’s corruption) and defeat Skull Grinder to restore them.
I mean, I doubt that’s really what’s going on, and I kind of hope it doesn’t happen, but I’m throwing it out there regardless.
Interesting theory, but it’s flawed. The skeleton hand seen at the end of Episode 9 is silver while Skull Grinder’s hands are trans-orange. That hand would have to belong to either Skull Basher, Skull Warrior, or Skull Slicer confirming that they exist even while the Toa are walking around in their regular state.
Nope, the animations focus on the Winter Wave.

I’m so happy Toy Fair’s in Germany. By the time pictures come for the sets, I would have only just woken up 
From what I can see on the box art, Makuta and Ekimu’s forge is in the background. So yeah, all of the battle probably takes place in the ancient city.
I think the skull villains are likely a horde too - not as numerous as the spiders, perhaps, but I would be surprised if there’s one singular Warrior and only a single Slicer, et cetera. Grinder is probably the only one who’s only one, like LOSS.
In other words, the skeletal hand reaching from the ground likely doesn’t represent the arrival of a specific character but the army as a whole.
The summer villains look really cool. If I had to take a guess at Scorpio’s function, it would be that the tail strikes forward and those two prongs close in on the middle.
Feeling a lot better about these sets now the colors are more-or-less finalized. Those trans-green CCBS limbs are gonna look so pretty in person. There are still some issues with each set, but I think they will make good toys as oppose to just seeing them as parts.
