That’s true, it’s actually not something that I saw coming. It also feels so absolute and final, it’s just one of those things that I don’t see Lego doing unless they plan on concluding the story.
I mean, they could always introduce a new team of Toa, but there aren’t any other fleshed out characters for that to resonate with fans
I’d prefer, instead of new Toa, something like 2004, where it goes back in time and focuses on Ekimu and Makuta’s adventures, would be a good way to give us the G2 Vahi too.
@TheDarkFlame Makuta wasn’t main protagonist, Jala was, and he was brought back.
Yup, I remember someone mentioning a third party who had been hinted to have been involved in the creation of the masks of creation and control. Argh, so much potential for G2…
I personally will be because whilst it wasnt long, what they gave us was fantastic and I’ll treasure that and thank Lego for years afterwards. I’ll just take what I was given and give it a place in my heart next to g1
I agree, and I absolutely love what we do have, but as a writer, and with G2 already being so important to me, and since my first Bionicle G2 fan book already almost done, I’ll be continuing the story. At least in my own universe, on my YT channel.
Seriously, there’s no doom to Bionicle ending. Yes, perhaps there was wasted potential…but come on guys…we got some fantastic sets in G2. The Toa last year were all incredible, so were the protectors. The Uniters…while not the best versions of the Toa in my opinion, were still really cool sets. Umarak was an incredibly well designed set. Storm Beast had an incredibly new and innovative function. So Bionicle ends…(no I do not believe it will ever come back) but we got some great sets out of this reboot. Yeah, sad that it’s ending (again, that’s in my opinion so far, no official confirmation, we shall see Sunday), but we have the sets that at least I never dreamed we could get in Bionicle G1. Seriously. Such complexity, functions, designs…great ride.
