I just wanted to throw together a list of all the (major) unanswered questions in G2. I think this pretty much covers everything:
- Who gave Ekimu and Makuta their masks?
- What happened to the lower half of the Mask of Time? (And who made the Mask of Time?)
- Why was Makuta helping the Skull Raiders before he became evil?
- Why were Ekimu and Makuta’s spirits able to survive after death? Are all Okotans able to do this, or…are they not Okotans?
- Who built the labyrinth, and how does it connect to the Toa?
I really hope we get some answers to these questions. G2 feels so…unfinished right now. We need some closure.

They literally only said “we’ll have to wait and see” in regards to a new constraction line. I don’t know if this is conclusive evidence that there will be a new one. Although, I don’t know what the context of that particular reply is. For all I know, it could mean the Twitter rep doesn’t know for sure what the next constraction line is.

Guys, I liked the ending. Oh, hold on, puts up flame shield Ok, the ending was open. I like that. With Bionicle G1, we got almost everything explained, and it left the world finished, like it couldn’t possibly be built off of without fan retcons (like the ones in Legends Unite shameless plug). G2 left questions, we could wonder for an eternity, and theorize. THAT’S WHAT I LIKE ABOUT BIONICLE. THE COMMUNITY. If we got more waves, and be honest, what would we have done? We would’ve speculated for next year the week after a new wave. Once it’s gone, the fanbase is salty. That’s what will always happen. They left the Vahi reference as a question. What if Okoto’s part of Solis Magna? Are these the same Toa? The Prophecy was practically the Great Telescope for G2, a treasure cove for future events. The Toa got closure. They sacrificed themselves and returned to the stars. As seen with the Beasts and Skull Spiders, the Okotans have adapted. They can fend for themselves. But when a powerful threat appears, the Toa can always come back. Through a direct reference to G1.
I’m sad that it ended so soon too. I would not have minded it going for ten years. But this ending isn’t perfect, but it allows a future for our community. Which would you rather? 8 years of the story dragging on, or 8 years of guessing, making fanfics, mocs, artwork, jokes, having an overall great time built on a ten year line thar was briefly redeemed.

^ That gets me. That really gets me flared up. If it was performing well then you shouldn’t have canceled the theme, ESPECIALLY without giving us the main antagonist in set form. If it’s performing well, then releasing a final set to end everything off and bring a sense of closure wouldn’t have been unprofitable like others claim. My problem isn’t that they’re not rushing to make it up to us, my problem is that they didn’t even consider that we’d want the main antagonist back when they decided to cancel it late last year.
