I can’t find any Y-socket piece in any of the pictures of pohatu from bs01 or Lego cache. (Oh, you mean the revamped mata hand) How do you know that the vorox armor won’t wiggle around? Still looks like it has a little wiggle room IMO.
Pssh what? Nahhh that TV has always been for commercials.
The sword isn’t that bad.
But the crystal piece is awful.

That just fixed every problem with those sets except Ketar’s tail.
And why are the hands still silver?
Apparently “too much” and “barely any” are synonyms now.
Seriously, only his lower legs and shoulders (and mask) are gold.
That’s pretty good too.
Pretty much, yeah.
I really liked 2015 Lewa and his colors. However, I’m more of a fan of the green/lime color scheme. It’s my favorite, hands down. And you may personally think it’s boring, however it objectively (you guys can say it’s all subjective, and that’s great and all, but it’s universally accepted. From then on, it just becomes a matter of liking it or not, because they do work) it works. And I like how it worked. This Lewa I think could pass with the Green Lantern Green and the transparent Apple Green, considering he does have the yellow accents. However, the issue is the large amount of silver, which is truly what bogs the set down and makes him appear bland.
Again, I felt 2015 Lewa was great, and I’m a big fan of those colors. I just think that the silver is the issue more than the secondary he may/may not have.
Indeed.
Lewa 2015 is my favorite Bionicle set. and I am currently on the fence over if the new one is a worthy sucessor.
“WITNESS ME!” -Pohatu
By the way, Eljay: those colors are called Bright green and Tr. bright green, respectively. It’s easier to say on camera, actually.
I refuse.
Green Lantern Green and Apple Green for life.
I have to agree that the green/lime green color scheme was the best one for Lewa. It’s just such an iconic color scheme, and even know I still like to use it on my MOCs too because there is something about it that I like.
I just wish these 2016 Toa had less metallic colors and more solid colors. I love all the trans orange on Tahu (others will probably skull-bash me for saying that) but he does need less gold and more red.
I mean, sure, they’re supposed to be the Gen 2 Toa Nuva, but regardless the Nuva still had plenty of color. These sets have either too little or too much, or the colors are all over the place.
I have to disagree. I love the metallic and Crystalline (transparent) colors on the 2016 toa.
I like metallic and transparent colors too, but this year, especially on Tahu, they over did it.
It’s really only good in small amounts. So much of a good thing can ruin something.
I dislike using the term Mata hand because it could either mean an Onua claw, an old hand piece, or the Mata exclusive two fingered hand. So I just say Y joint.
I have it right in front of me (a physical mock up of course). The wiggle room is barely noticeable, it’s almost not even there.
I guess I’ll be the odd man out and say I really liked the Keetorange on Lewa. It provided a nice contrast with the GL green but it wasn’t overbearing. I kinda wish Uniter Lewa kept the Keetorange, but the yellow and lime are good. If only they were used more instead of all that silver.
I use Nuva Hand.

I guess so that is a point, but sometimes I prefer more unique metallic or crystalline CCBS or non CCBS shells and bones.
On LEGO.com the descriptions for toa call the golden masks “unity masks” which I think sounds a little lame.
Wait, there is Lego.com descriptions? Where?
The new sets are in the Lego online shop now.
Better than “golden/gummy bear color masks” in my opinion.
In the shop, if you search “Pohatu” it gives you '15 '16 Pohatu, and if you click '16 Pohatu and scroll down it has a description for Pohatu and it says “Unity Mask of Stone”
@BlueCel Woops I meant to say that golden masks sounds lame and Unity masks sounds like some group of magical and powerful masks of the elements.
i wonder when they will update the bionicle website
I think the pistons would be a better look if there weren’t other clashing textures. Tahu’s upper legs and torso work well together, but when you get to the shoulders… ehhhhh…
