I hope that instead of new golden masks, the old ones somehow merged with their original and then got upgraded, that way they can “call” upon it when they need to.
The question remains for me, is it trans yellow for real this time, or is it stil the trans neon green? I mean, the yellow would work a lot better, seeing as it is being used instead of a trans-gold for Umarak.
Imo, the design for the background in JtO is just too simple, especially the lava. The lava is what bugs me.
In the Tahu clip he’s wearing his normal colored mask, and it just instantly changes color into his fusion mask when he combines with Ikir each time. So, it’s pretty much the MNOG mask changing concept. Pretty cool, huh?
Yeah, but I hope that mask changing ability is something the Toa can do even without the creatures. Still really cool, don’t get me wrong.
That would make the crystaline mask shrines that the creatures are supposedly guarding on the box art and comics non canon…maybe they just did that to make kids who were fans of last wave easily understand where the masks came from and renact their own story from there
Tahu is seen with his Fusion Mask when he touches the door with his element-y hand. I suppose that the masks might also give them enhanced elemental abilities, but maybe only for a limited time, and maybe it’s same with the crystal parts?
An observation: it seems to me that some of the effects are in 2D while the models are in 3D. Quite an odd choice but I like it.
Also, the music is the same as the one from the app game.
Okay. So I’m making a “Journey to One” Tahu. I know I have to do the following;
Shorten torso
Make trans panels and hands solid red
Change swords
Make back silver
Add red to legs
Add bulk to legs
If you have any suggestions or strategies to complete these requirements, they would be much appreciated.
Here’s one of the swords so far
If there is a red variant of the 2 pin hole bone, I would definitely recommend that.
I like the much more visual Summer descriptions a lot, as they really give me the taste of the sets. They don’t sound too bad, so I’m interested in seeing photos. Hoping, hoping, hoping for Trans. Yellow!
I absolutely love the JTO Animation Style, it’s really nice. It has a great “Borderlands” Aesthetic while still maintaining a style of realism. I also like these character videos a little better, as they are straight to the point while expressing the personality in a way. I just miss having more footage to play with.
I do actually have a red one pin hole bone. i could use that plus a friction adder.
You could try that, but it really depends on how accurate you want to make it.
Yeah, I think they need the unity masks to unite but idk, I would like that they need to find the “nuva symbol” corresponding to them to allow them to do unity, and the unity masks only represent their normal ones getting powered up.
Oh no! 403 has returned!
Did it? I feel like it was just for a second.
How about we don’t have arguments? Thanks.
Seriously, a lot of you protectors need to stop being so chaotic. Please.
A nerf is always good, and allows for some pretty cool “first time” transformation sequences, especially if it’s a limited transformation.

[/quote] I vowed to uphold Okotoan justice and protect the Mask of Time at all costs. It’s sad to see others can’t uphold their duties and prefer to be frivolous with the power their title brings them. I will have to inform Ekimu about this when report time comes around.
I tried dropping it, I really did. But if he’s that determined to prove me wrong, I’ll defend myself.
Anyway, I wasn’t planning to respond to anything else from him looking back, I’m being a huge nuisance for you. Sorry dude
@BlueCel, I’m assuming the nuva symbols are unity symbols, thus why they’re… well, everywhere unity can be found.
OH EKIMU NO NOT EKIMU. HAVE MERCY, PLEASE.
To bad Ekimu will get Umarekt in a few months. Which actually makes me wonder, is Ekimu going to appear in the show as his tiny (better) version?
Bringing it back to this wave’s sets, has anyone taken off Terak’s claws and put them on Onua? I might do that once I get both.
Given that he has to transform into the Toa-sized version somehow, I’d say his small-sized version is almost guaranteed to show up, at least in the beginning.
