The discussion wasnt that he has a gold mask it was weather hid red one turned into the gold one or if they were two separate entities, you cant just jump into a discussion and declare your self the winner.
I recommend you go back and look at the video closely
Can confirm that, after the (assumed) point where the Toa meet up and unite with their creatures, they have their golden masks, even when separated. It is possible, however, that the creatures had some effect on the masks, making them gold. This is still speculation, as we have not yet seen what actually happens in the episodes.
At what, what am i looking at closely I see his red mask in one shot and his gold mask in all the others, that doesnt answer as to weather they are the same or separate masks.
It does not. There is, in fact, no scene in, well, anything that shows a Toa’s Mask changing color when they unite.
Also, Just realized that Kopaka’s video has no Melum. Odd.

THANK YOU! This is what I’ve been trying to say!
I just noticed something. In Umarak’s character video, we can see him staring at the Toa in the Labyrinth of Control. What’s interesting about this is that Onua at least appears not to have his golden mask. Likely just a small detail that they assumed would go unnoticed, but still, it’s there.
Only onua? Then maybe he lost the mask, or is not using it? To early to try to find errors and mistakes on the show.
Ok now I see what your saying, I could have sworn I saw a gif where his mask changed colors but in this instance it appears im wrong for now at least.
More people were added to the JtO cast.
William Jordan, Corny Rempel, and Michael Strickland.
Also, genre categories were tagged, but that’s not as important.
If the first six are the Toa, I bet two of these are Umarak and Ekimu, and the third, maybe Makuta?
Who are all these people? Most of them look like small-time actors. Probably newbies who need this to boost their job.
I really hope Lego knows what they’re doing.
I still believe Eljay should be lewa and Tom hardy Pohatu hue.
Anyway I believe that while these may be n00bs, they sure beat one voice actor
That is true. Let’s just hope the quantity also comes with quality. Let’s also hope that the writing is good.
This is probably these guy’s first big role, so I’m hoping they did their best. Question is: did Lego have a connection to Winnipeg to get these actors? I’m kinda curious on how the whole process went.
Still, the only things we know now are that there will be voice actors, 4 22-minute episodes will be appearing, and it will be cel-shaded. Lego’s a smart company when it comes to selling toys and other media, so I’m hoping Lego succeeds in this special for netflix.
I mean, if it wasn’t some of their better work they wouldn’t be featuring it on Netflix. If it was Hero Factory they would have shown it for free. Since this is Netflix-exclusive Lego seems to be up to something here. All the rest of their shows are on TV and Netflix. So it makes me curious as to why BIONICLE 2016 is featured on Netflix.
PFTTTT, I’m sorry crack me up everytime.
Now seriously, I believe the long episodes, better animation and more VA’s will surely destroy the animations, but even then I still expect a good show.
Not because the expectations are set above the level of the animations means we should be ok with a badly written show.
I’m just worried that the character animations already gave us the biggest plot-points of the show already. I guess we already know that the bad guy wins the mask in the end.
Now it’s Lego’s job to fill in the rest.
Already posted and made fun of (teehee)
Regardless this makes me think how long…or how well are they going to work as a team. I believ the show will start with a little legend and then jump up right into the action avengers style figthing the skullies in the village and then group shot. My point is they will already work better as a team by the time the show starts.
I know that the trans neon green melded masks that we get in the summer wave are widely regarded as ugly and awful looking (thus most people hate them for that reason), but I think that was the intent in the first place (hear me out).
We know that the Mask of Control has greenish energy for some reason. We see it on all of the boxart, we see it in the Labyrinth of Control, and we we see it on Umarak the Destroyer and his minions. My thought process is that the melded Toa masks themselves are tainted and controlled by its power, and therefore “infected” which hearkens back to how Makuta could infect masks that allowed him to control the wearer of those masks.
The masks are meant to look ugly because they’re corrupted. From what I remember, the corrupted masks we got in early G1 looked just as ugly colorwise, but that’s because their function was to show that something was off. Something wasn’t right with the wearer of that mask. Sure, one could bring up the excuse that the toy design comes first and story doesn’t affect that. I’d have to say you’re wrong though. Sure the final story material that they work on after the sets doesn’t affect the creation of the sets, but the designers have a general outline of how that wave is going to pan-out (they do have a story bible after all), not to mention to design a set you have to have an initial concept of what’s going on in the world of that set. You can’t design something without imagination or inspiration, and I’d have to think that the three year story bible is the main source of inspiration when it comes to set design.
Then again, what do I know? I’m just a bonkle fan speculating away.
I see then as ugly masks, but they are hood ugly masks haha. And again my theory is that all this trans neon green is a new version of antidermis.
Okay so I’ve been trying to find some of these actors, but I’ve only found actual work of Nolan Balzer. He’d be a great Lewa. I saw you guys posted some links above but I think for now I’ve decided to wait and see them first as their BIONICLE characters.
This Uxar Jaw construction is what the creatures should really have had.
The lower jaw is a wolfs head from the Vikings Theme.
Also here some Melum(s).
Ill probably do a similar Jaw construction for my Uxar as well.
