They implied Mata Nui was awakened, which wasn’t retconned until 2006. We had all implications that the Toa fufilled their destiny of awakening Mata Nui.

the same thing like the rest of us:
What was with the new parts showed off in the Makuta Building Contest! Were they planning on making another set or not. I haven’t watched the JTO finale yet, but the way they describe it makes i sound like a bad ending.
For the time being, it would seem Lego has no plans on releasing Bionicle sets in 2017.
As such, I’m going to close this topic.
