Artakha is generally going to be a larger build. Also, it was known that Helryx was going to be the first contest for a while before it began, while there was a poll for the second one.

Easier in general to make a Toa Design, especially one described as extremely frail and having no armor. Alot fewer restrictions Helryx as well (for better or for worse ._.).

I’d say we’ll probs see somewhere in the 40-60 range for entries this time round.

Artakha, master of the forge (meet the maker contest entry)

Hello everyone! This is my contest entry for the meet the maker artakha building contest, hope you all like it! My brother told me about this contest and I thought it would be cool to try my hand at it. I chose a few initial characters to build. When I found out which artakha was, I immediately knew I had to build him, so I started researching and I think I did a pretty good job of capturing his character. I doubt I’ll make it far, but you never know!

It was an incredible challenge to scrounge up all of this sand green and have it fit together cohesively. I took a lot of inspiration from Optimus Prime for the frame, because I always imagined Artakha having a similar demeanor and voice to the Autobot leader.

Regarding Painting 3D Printed Masks, do they have to be all one shade or, since they’re placeholders, can we paint them multiple (at least 2) colors?

Artahka, Humble Creator (Canon Contest #2 - Meet the Maker)

At the recommendation of a few redditors and Instagram followers, I am here with my entry to the contest. The design for Artahka was started with the mask, and branched outward. I know gold isn’t canon, but I thought it looked regal. His hammer was designed to be lackluster, something he would have grabbed out of need. His build is influenced by many of the titans who are in the OOMN, thighs and arms from Axonn, shins and feet (somewhat) from Brutaka, and spine from Umbra. Artahka, Smith of Legend (Canon Contest #2 - Meet the Maker)

This is my entry to the Artahka round of the canon contest. Initially, I wasn’t going to partake in this round but then I said “screw it” and whipped up something as fast as I could while making it look good. So here it is. [Artahka, The Smith of Legend] [Artahka frontview] [Artahka backview] [Artahka forges the avohkii] He has one massive smithing hammer and tongs to pull masks and armor out of his forge. He uses a modified kikanalo torso and the legs and arms are, something? His feet are mata feet slapped on top of some liftarms with a gunmetal grey Hau on the front. A lot of these parts don’t come in these colors in real life and if you were to build him he would not be very stable when standing up. I attempted that at first, but it fits together much easier this way, I personally think it helps to spread the gold on the torso more evenly, especially with the shoulder pieces, but thanks for the interest!

Artakha the Architect (Canon Contest #2: Meet the Maker)

And none of us can defy it.” So today I finished building my Arthaka MOC for the second Canon Contest! So I’d like to show my interpretation of the Maker himself. I used mismolded golden kanohi Kraahkan to represent the G1’s Mask of Creation. And also Hero Factory shields are used to resemble some kind of armor with some ancient symbols. And that’s it! I wanted to say good luck to anyone who participates in the contest!

Honestly I think the small “controversy” with how people feel about these contests are kind of ridiculous. No matter what, nobody will be pleased with every model that gets selected. Nobody is going to satisfied with every single Bionicle set or Lego set in-general. We need to appreciate the fact that we’re even getting this opportunity again.

Like I said, if you don’t like a design, then that’s fine. Nobody said you have to agree with whichever one gets picked. But it’s best not to just go on and continuously whine about it. Complaining and just being a nuisance does nothing but ruin the fun for everyone and makes everybody else’s day a lot harder, especially everyone at TTV.
