Entry Photo: [image] …when he traveled to Metru Nui, he took along a hammer from his forge to use as a warhammer. - BS01 A war hammer is quite a bit different to the type of hammer used for smithing, so if the tool he wields was truly supposed to be a war hammer and a smithing hammer, I chose to interpret it as one from his forge that he’s modified into a more specialized weapon by extending the handle, rather than having always used a war hammer for his profession. Artakha: Artist of the Forge (Meet the Maker)

[IMG_4158] (Main Pic) This is my interpretation of Artakha, its been almost 4 years since I started it and after several revamps I’m finally happy with how it looks. This moc used to be silver and dark green, but i wanted it to be more close to the cannon, so I decided to incorporate gray-green parts. This was a big challenge as I only had a zaktan an a couple of ninjago sets. That means that I had to use some system while trying to still keep the g1 aesthetic using them only as details and mixing them with g1 parts. Also I didn’t want him to be almost like a statue so I tried to give him a big range of articulation, which I think was achieved at a degree. Artakha, the Master Builder (Meet the Maker)

Hi all! I’ve been working on this MOC for about a year now, and I’m very excited to share it with you all now. When making this MOC a year ago, my goal was to use strictly G1 pieces, and as far as far I know, I’ve held true to that. The paint job on the mask is a bit amateur, but it was the best that I could do at the time. Artakha, wearer of the Mask of Creation (Cannon contest #2, Meet the Maker)

“Creation is my essence, and you would destroy all that exists. I can’t allow that.”- Artakha (I’d like this one to be the entry photo) [IMG_0049] So here’s my version of Artakha, just in time for the end of the contest. I spent about two weeks on this guy, then the past two days on just his mask, and then just delayed uploading him. [IMG_0050] I wanted to only use sand green, so he uses silver and gray too. I also really wanted to use those knight’s kingdom shoulder pads, those are just really cool pieces. I imagined, like most people, that Artakha is pretty big and beefy. Artakha, The Big Brain Smith (Canon Contest #2: Meet the Maker)

this is my first time posting here and really my first serious moc so I’m super excited to share my interpretation of Artakha! I wanted my build to look recognizable in the bionicle universe, like something you could see on the shelves back in 08-09, great care was taken to make sure that there were no illegal connections or ones that put too much stress on the pieces. I chose the mask of creation as my placeholder with a neon orange head stalk(when you stare into the forge, the forge stares back). For my hammer design I wanted it to be a something that is light and wieldable with one hand, the spiky piece on the end is meant to represent a utility claw. I originally built him a couple weeks ago, he is surprisingly poseable. I wanted something that wasn’t too part-spammy. the head and neck can easily be swapped out for a metru head (and I’m very in favour of Khingk’s custom G1 design). I was waiting on a piece to arrive today, and ever since there’s been little daylight, so I’m very disappointed with the photos - I have to make me a light box! Hello all! It is I, Artakha himself! The Creator of the Tobduk model. No really, it’s me! I swear! Anyway, is my pleasure to present to you my Entry to The Contest! It has been a WHILE since I MoCed this much, I hope my skillz from the Tobduk era are still up to snuff! Or better preferably I loved Tobduk, but I will admit that the MoC was flawed in some regards. Due to a mix of procrastination, business, and living in Oregon while it was actively on fire, the majority of this build was done in the past two days. Oof. I hope you enjoy, and I hope that this guy goes far! There are some FANTASTIC entries out there and I will be proud of whichever design becomes the appearance of my longtime namesake But I would absolutely love it if I managed to get a second MoC canonized…

potential problem with rule 11

It has come to my attention that certain entries have been allowed, despite statements from the hosts that they are pushing rule 11 and could be dq’d later. I have to ask, isn’t this effectively setting up the moc to fail? If it does go through the first round of voting, people will decry it for only winning due to being a meme, and say it should be dq’d.
This is just a concern I thought of, you might’ve already considered this potential issue.

What entries are you referring to? I have only seen the cast mention Rule 11 twice, and the MOC was disqualified both times.

Of course, I have not gone through the comments on every single MOC, so it is entirely possible that I have simply not seen what you are talking about. Could you give an example?

Alright, so we’ve discussed this and come to a decision. At this time, we are allowing this entry to go forward. That being said, we will be keeping a close eye on this entry throughout the remainder of this contest, as we can already see it may be one of the more controversial options voters will be asked to consider. We also wish to remind everyone that per the wording of Rule 11, we can at any time decide to disqualify an entry. That includes during the voting period.
