There’s no way to please everyone. To say or believe there is is idealistic to the point of naiveté. Surely everyone should be able to see that. So what the admins have done so far is gone with the solution that pleases the most amount of people. Which is completely rational. And if you’re in the group that didn’t get what they wanted (which I am), then you just gotta suck it up and realize that it really is a reasonable solution.

For what it’s worth, I don’t care whether the contests continue or end. I just don’t think “but my headcanon!” is a good enough reason for them to end. The only compelling reason I’ve seen is that it’d put a stop to the ceaseless squabbling over toys. I just don’t think that’s the only solution, or the easiest one, though.

The majority of the posts here are about that. If there’s something wrong with the discussion, “being off topic” is not what comes to mind.

I am the one flagging the posts, because poll discussion and talking about the contests has been abandoned solely to try and prove the other side is arguing in bad faith or whatever instead of actually focusing on the topic at hand!

It has stopped being about the canon contests anymore. This is not a place to discuss your grievances and slights. It’s about the G1 canon contests. If you have a problem with being flagged as off-topic for that reason, perhaps rethink the reason you are arguing?

After explaining it, I get the reasoning, but I don’t appreciate the “flag now, talk later” approach. Explaining this earlier could’ve avoided this.

People continuing to be disrespectful to one another isn’t “no reason at all”. Most of the recently deleted posts are veering into off-topic territory anyway. This topic is supposed to be about discussing the contests, but in the last few hours it’s been nothing but mindless bickering and squabbling about how the arguments have been unfolding. You are all arguing about arguing.

I understand that you all want an update on the polls, and have complaints about how things are handled, but there are ways to discuss this without going for each other’s throats every five minutes. Shape up or this topic will remain closed until there is an official update.

Virtually anyone except the Hagah tbh. These characters were never specified to wear uniforms so they’re fair game.’

I could definitely Marendar as a (largely) modified Inika build. But i don’t want Nidhiki or Lariska as Inika builds. They should be more sleek to match their asassin/athlete type of roles.

The Inika build is good imo. But it could be better. It would work for one or two more characters but maybe not Toa. The Inika were (technically) the first that had the Inika build.

This I agree with. Lariska should have a unique build like the 2004-2005 titans.
