Good gracious!
Lewa’s just arrived in Le-Koro - and to his horror, he finds that no one has a voice!

Attention: Casting Call Extension has been APPROVED!!!
You asked, and we answered - there’s an additional week with which to submit auditions for more classic Bionicle characters, like Hewkii, Kongu, Tamaru, Matau, Whenua, and more. If you’re not interested in voice acting, there’s other positions currently available which you may like, such as Animator, 3D Modeler, Concept Artist, Video/Audio Editor, and more.
The Casting Call closes on March 11th, 2024, so send in your auditions today!
Well, unfortunately I was too late. I was going to see if there were open positions, but now I feel like I’m going to have to wait a year.
Also, I’m thinking about adding a few more characters, but I think we’ll have to see what others think in order to decide what those characters were going to be.
(Hopefully Lewa doesn’t break Le-Koro again )
The third Bionicle: Iliad Mocing Contest is underway - this time, the goal is to craft a Lava Monster - but don’t take my word for it! Hear it from the Souvenir Matoran himself:
As he mentioned, we’ve got a new first place prize - in addition to having your Rahi featured in the show, you could also win that hand-made Takua Plushie! And Discord Nitro is also up for grabs for the runner-up spots.
So what are you waiting for? There’s a Lava Monster that needs making!
We’ve finally found it!!
The long-lost copy of the Bionicle Iliad movie has been rediscovered and remastered in all its glory! Now you too can experience Iliad’s first-ever official release and find out, perhaps, if you too can live up to the expectations of Tall Man.
Check out our Discord for more info.
Good morning,
Regarding the project Bionicle Iliad, you require someone who is good at animating in 3D and with CGI correct? I know of one person who could help regarding the conditions that are required. Have you considered dillongoo? He is a youTuber who was formerly a RWBY fight animator and he is doing freelance 3D animation projects such as the “CyberKatsu” series as well as other fan animation projects such as the retelling of Genshin Impact, Arknights, Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero, etc.
If you could contact him either through youTube, X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram or via email about this project, I am sure he would oblige.
This could be beneficial for both parties Ghid. Not only will you get help for your project, but he could do some fan animations of Bionicle which could make the new youTube watchers find out what Bionicle is which could restore the old Bionicle spirit. If he did animations with humans, how about a Miramax styled Bionicle character?
You seem to misunderstand quite a bit about the project.
We do not have the ability to pay those who work for us at the present time. It would be a tremendous help for us to have the funds available to hire a full team of animators, storyboard artists, modelers, and voice actors, but this is entirely a volunteer project. The only money spent in the project for the majority of its existence has come from Bionicle Iliad leadership, including myself, and I personally do not have the funds to pay the hourly wages of even one freelance animator.
If you had seen any of the videos prior to posting about dillongoo, you would know we do not create animation content mimicking that produced by the Miramax Bionicle films. Our character models have been rigged and animated with strict adherence to what the LEGO pieces which digitally construct them are physically capable of doing, with very few exceptions. The Miramax Bionicle characters’ more organic components and warping face meshes are fairly antithetical to what we have in our animation work, and we will not be altering our visual approach to match theirs.
It is not the responsibility of Bionicle Iliad to revive or rejuvenate the Bionicle community. Our goal is to retell the story of Bionicle through a fully CGI 3d animated television format, and we have continued to push towards that goal with or without the community’s involvement. If our goal was to revive the community, or gain some kind of notoriety, we would be operating very differently.
As mentioned earlier in this topic, those who want to help the project financially can donate at our Patreon, and those who wish to help the project out can apply for an available position through our public Discord server. We are always on the lookout for talented folks willing to donate their time to help us make this idea a reality.
