V1:
A somewhat generic Toa of Fire MOC I made (and the first one I felt comfortable with sharing with the world). I am open to suggestions for names though.
Due to using a Slizer body, I had some slight awkwardness attaching the arms due to not owning any CCBS parts, but I’m somewhat happy with how it turned out. Also, yes, I did kinda cheese attaching that Vahki head as a chestplate.
EDIT: What I meant about the CCBS Limbs (I have acquired an Uxar since first uploading this MOC) making the arm connection more elegant can be best summed up in this image:
V2:
New in this Update: Chains, A standard Inika/Piraka Build figure who shall be known only as “Phor Scayl” standing next to Dume Unchained to give a sense of how tall he is, and also a new function to attach any of the sets with a unity gimmick (2016 Creatures, Av-/Shadow Matoran, etc), albeit in a somewhat Janky way. Also he has Neck Articulation now.
The back didn’t really change at all, so I didn’t see a need to take a photo of it. For those who were saying that Dume Unchained here looks more like a Matoran than a Toa, I DID base the scale for a Toa off of the Inika/Piraka Build. Also, one function I don’t think I mentioned in V1 Post is that the Bigass Sawblade on the end of the Tonfa in his right hand DOES spin quite well.
Connecting a Creature/Av-/Shadow Matoran build set:
-
Remove Rorzakh weapons from back.
-
Remove Head. (Yes, Really.)
-
Attach this bad boy
right where the head used to be.
-
Put head on a socket Piece, then attach socket to Vahki head using an axle.
-
Attach Creature/Av-/Shadow Matoran/Agori/Stars set. Here, I use Uxar, Creature of Jungle.
5a. The Pins do need to have their positions changed to attach an Av-Matoran build figure. -
Also, Maybe replace the Metru feet with something more stable, given how top-heavy Dume Unchained is at this point. As seen in the Image, I used Rahkshi feet. Also, I do know the irony of attaching the Creature of JUNGLE to the guy with Toa Tools that are mostly optimized for Deforestation.
Oh yeah. I finally thought of a name for this Formerly Unnamed Toa of Fire. He’s now my personal interpretation of Turaga Dume as a Toa.
