Dimensional Weaponry utilizes the distortion of dimensions for destructive purposes.
Weapons:
IDD (Inter-Dimensional Distortion)
A system that creates an absorption within a given space that fails to separate the shared space properly essentially tearing whatever is contained within the space between dimensions.
Weapons that employ the use:
IDD Tracker system
A system capable of creating and customizing a dimensional gateway to the user’s specifications
Can customize trajectory, and size so long as the power it is hooked up to is enough to supply the range. Usually incapable of anything further than 10 miles.
The IDD Tracker system is also used for teleportation
When the situation calls for it, the system is usually brought with a group of soldiers to the locations of large battle.
IDD Grenade
An advanced grenade that instead of producing an explosion, creates a dimensional gateway that closes improperly tearing apart anything within the radius.
IDD Rounds
Bullets fired from a gun capable of forcing the surrounding area to temporarily be a dimensional gateway thus erasing anything in it’s path that is undefended against dimensional distortion.
CIDD (Counter Inter-Dimensional Distortion)
A system capable of reinforcing the separation of dimensions by supercharging the surrounding dimensional energy to a higher level (it’s like boosting the law of entropy’s effect on the dimensions in the given area). The result is the disabling or at least the weakening of IDD weapons. The only limitation of this device is the power supplying it and its capability to put that power to use. Simply put, the more power put out of the Counter IDD, the more difficult it is for dimensional gateways to form.
The tools that utilize CIDD range in size and effect.
CIDD belt: a CIDD device on a belt. Usually, the device is only enough to protect the user from IDD rounds (good enough for most scenarios). However, there are advanced CIDD belts that are actually an entire belt. These belts’ most distinct differences from standard CIDD belts are that they utilize the full belt for power storage, and they have a more capable dimensional energy distributor.
CIDD armor: CIDD armor is actual armor worn by the user. It reinforces the dimensional separation of the metal ensuring that the armor does not allow dimensional weaponry to harm what the armor is shielding. This armor is most useful when faced with IDD weaponry alone. There are two main weaknesses of the armor. The first, is that once it is physically destroyed, it no longer protects the user from harm, and since it is placed on the user in places meant to divert physical damage as well it is quick to take damage. The second is that the armor is either a full suit that hinders mobility and once has a physical hole in it, exposes parts of the user to IDD, or the armor is individual pieces that only protect vital points on the wearer. In short, the armor offers a moderate service for repelling IDD weaponry. However, since the invention of the CIDD belt, CIDD armor has become less useful because a strong CIDD belt will repel most to all IDD attacks while allowing the user to wear whatever they desire for armor.
CIDD Generator: a powerful CIDD device intended to protect large areas from dimensional distortion. The device produces dimensional energy that separates dimensions further within the specified area. (it’s essentially the opposite of the IDD tracker system). Common uses of a CIDD Generator are populated areas. Both Freya I and II (the Primary Beings central planets within Dimension Beta) have incredibly powerful CIDD generators at their core that disable any form of dimensional distortion except within designated areas.
Quick hand name is usually CIDD (pronounced: sid) or Counter IDD. Often, small military groups come up with their own handle name for CIDD tech.
The Primary Dimension, however, has banned all dimensional weaponry, and activated a permanent CIDD effect on the entire dimension. Travel between the Primary Dimension and any other costs incredible amounts of energy. Because of this, the Primary Dimension remains very mysterious to those living outside it.
