Heya, I’m new here, so I thought I’d repost my dinosaur from the fanon contest here.
“Botagona” are giant, iguana-like cyborg-dinosaurs. They can use their tail as a whip but are also equipped with a laser, which can be shot out of the tip of their tail, to snipe prey and warn off potential enemies. Their tiny arms are used to communicate with others of the species by flapping and rotating them rapidly in different patterns. Even though primarily land creatures they can swim impressive distances thanks to their strong legs and webbed feet. During hot seasons they can also be found bathing in small lakes, which can make them resemble giant green ducks.
I chose the name Botagona as a mix of “Bota Magna” and “Pogona vitticeps”, the Latin name for “bearded dragon”, as an hommage to my recently deceased pet beardy, Brian.
The lime headpiece is a Chima Speedorz part with the printing removed.
These pictures feature the Dracorix by SkybirdMakes, my favourite entry in the small category of DuckBricks’ dinosaur contest.
