Hey everyone, it’s been quite a while… like around 5 years.
So why is there another Sokoda Brickonicle build here?
Well this is a model I actually built all the way back in 2019, but life got busy: The LEGO ideas project happened, I switched building program, Weekly Builds took over, I joined TTV and much more.
Because of all that I never got around to finishing the last couple of renders for this and posting it.
Some of you who might remember all of my old Brickonicle builds might have noticed that the first batch of set concepts had one set for each region. But the second batch never had a Naho or water themed build.
Well today that changes, and I can finally check off that box in the back of my mind and say I finished the Brickonicle MOCs from my end.
So, I dusted off my old render program, old files and decals, did my makeshift drawn on masks again and go back to the world of Brickonicle.
I hope this can bring some of you as much nostalgia as it was for me to finish this final Brickonicle Set Concept.
Introducing: The Shrine of Water
This model has 271 pieces, including the two custom masks and Gali’s cloth piece I painted on the renders here to visualize them.
This set concept includes: The Shrine of water featuring a Kanohi Kaukau monument and two trident traps, as well as three minifigures: Gali, Nokama and Guurahk
1. The Shrine of Water
The Shrine of Water is a secret old Shrine in the Naho region, dedicated to an ancient hero of the seas. As an homage to Ga-Koro in MNOG it features a stone Kaukau , this time acting as a well of pure water instead of a giant waterfall.
The structure is built on three rounded plates that can be adjusted, with the main Shrine in the middle and two tridents on the sides.
In reference to MNOG 2, you can also find some jellyfish lamps and bamboo.
By pulling out a pin on the two decorative tridents, these will fall over and can be used to defend the ancient Shrine from attackers like Guurahk.
The build can of course also be combined with some of the structures in the other concepts.
2. Minifigures
A Shrine dedicated to Gali has to include our modern version of Gali of course. She uses the official designs by TTV, with a bit of a new design for her hook since I last included her in a set.
Guurahk has already appeared in some of my other set concepts and adds some much needed conflict in the box for this set.
New to this set is Turage Nokama. She uses a new mask piece for the Kanohi Rau, and features many references to her different forms in Bionicle G1 in her printing. Can you spot them?
Here is also a look at how Nokama could look like with medium sized legs.
So, that’s it. It has been quite a while and I’m really interested to see how people will react to seeing this blast from the past in 2024.
I hope you all enjoyed this bit of nostalgia and thank you to everyone who kept up with my builds over the years and especially everyone who was there back in the Brickonicle heydays.
I wouldn’t be doing what I do today without this fan project and the people I met through it.

Thank you all!
