Can Glatorian elemental powers be shut down?

In the 2009 storyline, Mata Nui gave Ackar, Kiina and Gresh elemental powers and named them “honorary” toa. We know that Great Beings have the ability to turn off the power of a Kanohi (as the Cursed Great Being did with Vezon’s Olmak) and can create devices to shut down the elemental powers of a Toa within a certain distance (as in Yesterday Quest). The question might seem obvious but, would that device also shut down Glatorian elemental powers? Or those of the Elemental Lord’s?

Also, would Marendar recognize them as Toa if they attacked him with elemental powers?

No, Marendar would not see them as Toa. I think a GB device intended for Toa might weaken their powers, but would not shut them down completely.
