Alita: Battle Angel is one of my favourite movies of all time. Loveable main character and great action scenes aside, it is filled with so many insanely creative character designs. I’ve been itching to build some Alita mocs for quite some time, and finally decided to give it a try with Bricklink’s stud.io. Here’s the first one that I built - Centurion.
Centurions are giant police robots tirelessly patrolling the streets of Iron City for any danger or suspicious behaviour, as well as making sure the ever so present bounty hunting follows the sacred Hunter-Warrior Code. They also guard the city’s Factory and have the sky under constant observation, preventing anyone from getting to the heavenly city of Zalem hanging above their heads.
Technically, the Centurions are gray, but in their most prominent scene, where Alita faces dozens of them inside the Factory, the dark lighting makes them actually appear black, so I decided to go with that. Besides, black just looks cooler 
The whole model is roughly ~530 pieces. I tried to make it as buildable irl as possible, although there are some pieces that don’t exist in colors used here (at least not to my knowledge). I also used hinged joints in the legs to allow for some poseability, even though if I had to build this physically I’d probably have to replace them with static technic connectors, as hinged joints might not really be able to support the model’s weight. That, or give this thing a stand.

Although not gonna lie, I like some of the choices they made in the movie better than in the manga.
