Right right. I forgot that.

Also, Bulbasaur has the advantage in this situation being a grass-type.

Remember the Nostalgia from being taught Pokemon for the first time?
also was it not Grass Type

Grass Type, plant type. I can’t even tell the difference. They both get destroyed by Fire type, that’s really all I know.

Apparently he’s a Grass and Poison type, so watch out guys.

Chronicler chooses Tackle!

Suddenly, a battle ensued between Slime’s Bulbasaur and Chronicler’s Squirtle. It was so violent and brutal. The Squirtle attacked the Bulbasaur, knocking the poor fellow Bulbasaur off of it’s feet. Of course, it only took 5 damage. Now it was Slime’s turn.

“Bulbasaur, growl.”

“Rawr.”

Suddenly, Squirtle became a little frightened by the light and not-very-terrifying growl from it’s enemy. It hid behind one of the chairs in the lab.

“Chronicler, get your Squirtle out from there.”

“Sorry…”

What shall we do to attack Bulbasaur?
-Tackle
-Tail Whip

can we alter the rules a bit from the original game

Why? This is a trainer battle.

I meant like use Tail whip to damage Bulbasuar

Tail whip is tail whip. It only lowers stats, unfortunately. I know, first battles suck.

I Understand (I watched too much of the Anime)
anyway
Tackle Again

Moar TACKLE!

Again, violence ensued. But this time, Squirtle overcame his fear and gave Bulbasaur quite the crucial hit! Bulbasaur was knocked over again.

“Hah! Using another attack I see? You’re so lame, Chronk. You can’t even use strategy.

Oh I’ll show you strategy, Chronicler thought to himself.

Slime once again chose a growl from Bulbasaur. The battle was getting pretty boring…

What shall we do?
-Tackle
-Tail Whip

Lowering defenses and such.

Chronicler chooses Tail Whip!

You have lowered Bulbasaur’s defense by 1.

“Hah, I knew you’d do that! Now, Bulbasaur, we shall attack!”

Suddenly, Bulbasaur tackles Squirtle! Squirtles takes a good amount of damage… He isn’t about to faint, is he?

No… Squirtle is still up! Although, he is WEAK! What shall we do?

I would go for a Tackle.

FINISH HIM
tackle

Squirtle uses TACKLE!

The squirtle gets up and attacks it’s foe! The Bulbasaur’s eyes widen as the water-type Pokemon crashes into him! They both tumble in a fighting scrap. Bulbasaur has taken some more damage! But while that’s happened, can Squirtle still overcome any more of Bulbasaur’s attacks?

“Just as I predicted. You’re pulling attacks out of your butt in order to win! There is no strategy with you!”

Chronicler was upset now. Strategy… Why did he need that when he can just use brute force?

What shall we do?
-Tackle
-Tail Whip
