Community G1 Toa: Annitis

Name: Annitis
Toa Team: Toa Karda
Element: Psionics
Weapons: Crystal Spikes
Kanohi: Crast

Annitis is a Toa of Psionics, and is an energetic and sure-footed individual.
Originally hailing from the Northern Continent, she was summoned some 90,000 years ago to become a Toa on the Southern Continent.

Annitis made a reputation for herself as being an unconventional Toa of Psionics. Typically, she ignored her psychic capabilities, uncommon even for the more physical of Ce-Toa, and instead used her elemental powers for increasing her strength and speed greatly.

Part of the reason for this is the unusually thick layer of light armor she wears. All Toa, of course, have both heavy and light armor, and Annitis can, in some situations, discard heavier armor while still remaining fully protected.

In her early days as a Toa, she also received training from a Toa of Gravity who taught her about physics and how to effectively utilize her momentum and Psionic abilities, from his own knowledge. Her decisive and powerful nature worked well with this strategy.

Around 79,100 years ago, the Matoran Civil War broke out across Metru
Nui and imperiled the health of the Great Spirit, Mata Nui. To prevent
his death, a Toa of Magnetism, named Jovan, joined the team and led them to search for the Chamber of Life, located under Mount Valmai in the heart of the Southern Continent.

Eventually, the team managed to successfully battle the various guards
and traps leading to the chamber, and retrieved the Mask of Life.
However, by accident, one of the Toa was drawn by the Mask’s power and touched it, which led him to be cursed

After the Ignika’s use resulted in the healing of Mata Nui, the remaining
members of the team returned the Ignika to the Chamber of Life and
parted ways.

After this separation, Annitis chose to remain a Toa, and as of now, her location, and whether she is alive or dead, is unknown.

There you have it folks. I told you I would actually start this! …Well, no, I didn’t, but still! Anyways. Like all mocs, I am aware Annitis is not perfect. Give me your criticism or whatever you please.
And expect my other entry for this community thing… once I get enough orange pieces.

I think my only issue is the armor piece on her shins which IMO really detract from the overall smooth textures.

@Windfall great job man. Can’t wait for your Toa of Stone

I really like this, but agree with this:

she also received training from a Toa of Gravity who taught her about physics
[/quote] 10/10, I now dictate that all Toa must know of physics

Hold on a second… that looks my self moc’s body disign with tubes. M47T (self moc)
But I used a torso disign from Toa Kemzel on YouTube so…

@SwagMeister @Hutere yeah, you’re right about that. I had trouble finding the appropriate piece. Thanks tho.
@TheMoltenKing Yeah man.
@Tobin-Bartram Haha, yeah. It’s not a very common thing, is it?
@Matt Well, I can see the similarities, but I assure you, that was not where I got the idea.

Wow! I really enjoy this MOC, especially for it’s color scheme, which is very bright, soothing, and quite feminine. In addition to that, I like how the build is clearly feminine, while not overdoing it. It looks very petite, and has some good texturing overall. I would recommend removing the back armor on the thighs, though, due to being a bit big and not matching with the other textures.

Overall, it’s a great one! The techniques in this MOC are quite nice, and everything is quite solid and covered up. It has a great color scheme, a petite build, and a feminine mask, which really makes it look like a Toa of Psionics.

@MaskmakerOfLight Whoa, thank you! That was a well-written moc review!

Not bad, but the torso seems a bit short and almost kinda…fat looking? I dunno. neat MOC.

@Raptortalon It’s supposed to be like that. Think of it as like a teapot… Short and stout.

Alright, not sure if that was what you were going for or not.

Yea well the similarities are just uncanny. Just sayin
