Cordak the Last Makuta's Magnificent Kronkiwongis

Very nice update; I don’t know if those are new or not, but I like how you did the feet. Also, poor Kopaka.

[This][1] is all I really have to go on, which I assume was provided through Greg Farshtey’s Q&As.

@ColdGoldLazarus
Yep, those are new feet. I also changed his eye color, his hands, some bits of his chest armor, how the arms lock in under his shoulder armor, and added little joints into the top of his legs that widen his leg span.

I always assumed that it was either a) blood or b) oil.I never really got involved in the story until the inika, and then I just kind of filled myself in!

Very nice!

I’m pretty sure that in the “ask Greg” topic on the LMBs, Greg told somebody that Matoran and Toa don’t have blood, only lubricating fluids. That’s not an exact quote, this is just coming out of memory, but I am 99% sure that Toa/Matoran don’t have blood or Protodermis.

Like I said, there is organic protodermis, but it’s just the stuff that makes up their muscle tissue, not necessarily their blood.

Oh yeah I wasn’t arguing that, I was just talking about stuff that took the place of blood.

Ah. Understood.

Back on topic I guess, I really like the dragon mode of Toa Hunter. I think the parts flow nicely and the head looks really good. It looks like it has good articulation overall, I like it.
The one problem I have in his robot mode is the head looks a little odd. Just a mixture of the small Ehlek skull and the four Barraki mandibles seems a bit weird in proportions, but that’s just me.
He looks a little cluttered in robot mode, but I really like how he looks in Dragon mode. But overall I have to say it’s a nice MOC, it could use maybe a few tweaks and fixes, but I think it looks pretty good.

Indeed, it’s been pretty common for people to favor the dragon mode over the robot mode, and it’s kinda unsurprising. The cluttered look’s simply the sad, unfortunate consequence of making a Bioformer. Either one or both of the modes will have to look at least a bit cluttered to accommodate to the other. It’s actually pretty funny that this particular version is actually cleaner than those before him, at least in terms of robot mode. As for the robot head, no one’s really brought that up before, but I can see where you’re coming from. Indeed, it’s certainly not the best design, but I’ve been hesitant to make any drastic changes to it, since it works extremely well with turning into his dragon tail. I might ditch the Ehlek head altogether and go for something more custom some time in the future, if I think of any good ideas, but as for now, I’m probably going to leave it as is.

Kopaka had it coming.

Dang… Nice moc. Reminds me of Kylernuva135s Tazzuk and bw megatron

You know, it’s funny…I’ve always considered doing a T-Rex Bioformer modeled after BW Megatron, but I never really went through with it, while this guy ended up being inspired by AoE Grimlock and Smaug.

Okay, I’m back again with a couple new MOCs, this time with us finally getting to the Toa. I’ll be pairing each of these Toa together in accordance to how relevant their story roles are to one-another. I’ll be completely honest, each of these Toa were bascially built surrounding the test of a specific new concept or style, so some will probably look a bit…weird…any-who, these two were basically built to try out a couple new vehicle modes, them being a tank and a car.

-Name: Lentas

-Background: Many millennia ago, Toa teams roamed the Matoran Universe in great numbers, doing justice wherever injustice could be found. One such team was led be a Toa of Magnetism, named Jovan. His company was comprised of odd and peculiar folk, including a Toa of Earth named Ciad, a Toa of Stone named Dux, a Toa of Air named Venak, a Toa of Ice, and the focus of our tale, a Toa of Water named Lentas. Following a disastrous excursion on the island Visorak, which resulted in the loss of Venak and the partial mutation of Ciad, the team was left locked in despair, and in need of a new goal. For better or worse, the opportunity was given to them with the aftermath of the Matoran Civil War. Approached by a mysterious Toa of Water, they were charged with retrieving the Mask of Life to reverse the damage the war did to Mata Nui, with Lenta being entrusted with a Kanohi Elda to track it. It did not take long before they descended into the magma chamber beneath Voya Nui, and claimed the mask. The Toa of Ice took on the burden of carrying it to its destination, and committed the ultimate sacrifice. Returning the mask to its resting place, Jovan considered his destiny found and retired to the island as a Turaga. Directionless and leaderless, the other Toa found themselves unsatisfied with this supposed destiny they had been given, and opted to head their separate ways to find a new duty, ordering Jovan to tell tales to the Matoran of how they simply became Turaga. Though tempted to remain with Dux and Haato, Lentas saw it best to keep to herself, worried that they would simply meet a grisly fate similar to their other fallen comrades, and simply put her in greater misery. As such, she took to wandering from village to village across the Southern Continent, content with helping any stranger in distress, whilst discarding her Elda and donning a simple Kanohi Kaukau. During her travels, she came across a lone Toa of Fire, few of words and going only by the name Solus. Lentas was hesitant on trusting this stranger, but saw it in her best interests if she wished to survive, and the two chose to remain together. Other the centuries Lenta came to trust her fire-spitting comrade, and silently vowed undying loyalty to her friend. Even in the midst of Teridax’s reign, the two fought as one against ever rahkshi and rahi slaves sent their wave, earning the right to be left alone as the Makuta turned his sights on the more active rebels. After Teridax’s death, Lentas questioned journeying into the new world beyond, but at Solus’ insistence, the pair made the journey to Spherus Magna, and helped aid in the construction of New Atero. As class roles began to take shape in the city, Turaga Dume saw fit to take position as leader, using the Toa as unofficial police. However, after a catastrophic incident with several Toa of Air, Dume had all Toa of Air, sans Lewa, exiled from the city, and created an elite police force of Toa volunteers, whom were to be subjected to a special procedure to grant them a specialized alternate vehicle form, as well as advanced weaponry, at the cost of their elemental powers. Both Lentas and Solus found the idea questionable, but since Lentas was willing to go to any lengths to help protect the Matoran, she joined the ranks swiftly, and encouraged Solus to follow. For two years the pair worked as a specialized task force, sent in to the most hostile of criminal areas. If only things could remain so simple. One day, Lentas caught sight of a familiar figure among the ranks of the force: Dux. Excited, she ran to greet her old friend, only to find ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ him, as well as another oddity: he didn’t recognize her. Suspecting a plot afoot, she confided with Solus on what to do, with the fire-spitter opting to bide their time. Unfortunately, Lentas, headstrong as she was, chose to confront Dume head-on with the issue, with the Turaga retaliating with an arrest order. Declared an outcast alongside Solus, the two Toa went undercover, and later found themselves in the face of other fellow insurgents, including Ciad, a Toa of Ice named Arcus, and a Toa of Air named Grinus. Uniting under a pledge to overthrow Dume and free the other Toa, the group moved to first free Dux, and then aim for Dume. Now being preyed by Dume’s Toa Hunter, Lentas is unsure if she will survive any longer. Armed with twin electrically-enhanced thornaxx launchers redesigned to launch zamor spheres, as well as a powerful tank mode, she’ll ensure that if she goes down, Dume will go with her.

-Name: Solus

-Background: Very little is known about this Toa of Fire. Even records held by the Order of Mata Nui only date back far enough to say that he had always been more at home among Onu-Matoran, working as a miner in a miscellaneous village on the Southern Continent, even going so far as to keep his digging claws as a Toa. No one knows how he became a Toa, or why he chose to leave his village, but after departing on foot on his own, his tale began to become clearer. One day, he came across a Toa of Water caught in a struggle with several starving muaka. Scorching several on the sides with his fire, he and the other Toa pushed the creatures back until each fled or collapsed in exhaustion from the fighting. The Water Toa introduced herself as Lentas, a wanderer. After Solus made his own brief introduction, he made another offer: to travel alongside Lentas and watch one-another’s backs. Lentas agreed, and the two shared many adventures before the great exodus to Spherus Magna. Though Solus had a habit of going invisible with his Huna and keeping to himself, he came to remain alongside Lentas more often, and, just as Lentas silently vowed to protect him, he vowed to protect her. After New Atero’s construction, he and Lentas were met with the offer of joining a voluntary police force. Whereas Lentas seemed jubilant, Solus was much less certain, feeling reluctant to give up his elemental powers for any new ability. In the end, he complied with Lentas’ wishes, if only so the two could remain together. Even in the midst of Lentas charging off to call out Dume on his scheme to enslave the Toa, Solus stood at her side, and sadly joined her as an outlaw. Once confronted with other Toa exiles, Solus was intrigued: he had never been in such company before. Pressed into more pressing situations, Solus found himself beginning to have to sacrifice his image of the silent type, much to his own dismay. However, even amongst strangers, Solus finds no reason to turn his back on them, or hide for the sake of his introversion. Armed with two flame-burst pistols and a off-roading car form, he intends to fight to his last breath to protect his comrades, and his friend.

Very nice! I especially like how you used Berix’s helmet as a chestplate.

Thanks. I’ve been wanting to try using it as armor for a while, but I didn’t have two for shoulder armor, so I decided to test it out on the chest instead, which I think came out quite nicely.

Very nice; like the use of 1.0 HF leg armor on Solus.

Can’t wait to see more!

Okay…so it looks like we’re heading into the final stretch here. Just four more MOCs, a.k.a. two more weeks to go before I’ll be out of stuff to present. Sure, I’ll try building more things in the future (once I get more parts), and I’ll post any interesting edits I make to the pre-existing MOCs, but that won’t be for a while. As such, I though it’d be cool if I put together a finale of sorts for you guys after I get the last two Toa up. I’m rather mediocre at making stop-motions, but I can put together a little album showcasing a showdown amongst all the models for you guys. If any of you have any interest in me trying this, please say so. Then I’ll have to decide if it should just be a giant cluster of pictures posted here, or a slideshow with musical accompaniment that I’ll upload to YouTube and link here.

Sounds good to me!

So what do you think: uploaded photos or complete slideshow? I already have a pretty awesome piece of music in mind for a slideshow.
