DC Universe: The New Age of Heroes (RP Topic)

They weren’t carrying anything much per se, but the more bulked up Snakebite members were shepherding the rivals they had pummelled before. Leading the pack, though, was a very unusual individual indeed. He wore a brightly colored bandana which seemed to bear the image of a feathered snake, and a leathery tracksuit that looked like it might be make of scales. To complete the bizarre wardrobe, he was flanked by a truly monstrous boa constrictor, whom everyone else seemed to be actively avoiding.

The figure would also spot this strange troupe just as they turned the corner into one of the district’s winding alleyways.

As the thugs continued to fan outwards and disperse, Geosh was becoming increasingly at risk of being spotted here, even backed away in an alley.

“Alright, let’s go then.” Zack says, getting up and taking his tray over where the other kids were putting theirs, the others following suit.

Charlie noticed his trepidation, though, and gently took his hand again and squeezed it reassuringly. “We won’t make you do anything you don’t want to.” She murmurs for only him to hear, before picking up her own tray and leading him towards where the others were going, showing him how to separate out the cutlery, plates, and trays for washing, before letting Zack lead the way to the games room.

Runa noted the direction they were going and, once they were safely away so as not to spot or hear him, he dropped back down and tried to go through the door they came out of.

Geosh decided that his best option was to try a sneak by them; if it came to it he would fight, but he wasn’t looking forward to that.

As Geosh was sneaking out of the alley, he noticed the android-guy at the back of the building, and decided to head there first.

Iosif sorted his silverware and trudged after Zack, hands in his pockets. Many times he had been forced forward, to complete the tests or experiments demanded of him. Made to watch experiments being done with others to remind him of what they were capable of doing to him. The answer had always been no - never at a cost as great as he had seen.

I never have, Charlie.

She heaves a dramatic sigh and follows, her shadow shrinking behind her as she darts outside and after the gangsters.

Runa might spot, or even run into, the cloaked figure as she leaves after the gangsters.

The group is somewhat slow, but moves with purpose, constantly making turns into other byways, trying to lose anyone that might be pursuing in the maze.

Zack leads them down a few corridors, eventually ending up in a living room kind of space with a couch and a TV, as well as a shelf beside it with boxes for the games themselves. Fortunately, they seemed to have beat the rush. “Sweet.” He grinned, strolling in and turning on the TV, and the console underneath it, a fairly simplistic cuboidal shape, “Take a look at the games on the shelf, see what you wanna play.” He explains as he sets things up, Charlie and Ryan looking to Iosif.

“I guess this is your call, man.” Ryan says, leading him to the shelf, and the sizable variety of different backs with all sorts of names and logos on them, “What looks good?”

The cloaked figure tries her best to come to a stop, tripping and falling into this stranger.

“Oops, sorry.” The voice coming from this shadowy cloaked figure sounds suspiciously like a young woman.

Runa simply pushes her aside, towards the way the gangsters went, and turns to look at her, hand pointed towards her, as he backs slowly into the building, obviously on guard about her.

She lifts her hands in surrender, her shadow mirroring the gesture behind her. “I’m not one of them, they went that way.” Her shadow points towards the alley.

Geosh would spot this exchange as he approached the building.

Runa, still not so trusting, keeps backing in, until he’s well within, and he begins to glance around, gauging what was where in this place.

“It’s empty!” she calls from outside. “All the gangsters ran off, some shadow demon.” There’s some humor to her voice, as if she’s laughing at a joke he doesn’t know. With a shrug, she runs to the alley where she had last seen the gangsters, hoping to catch some sign of them.

It’s certainly empty in terms of people, though there are other things in this room, and the room beyond. A desk, chairs, and a set of drawers in this room, and many seats and scattered personal effects in the room beyond.

Runa begins searching the drawers and anywhere else things may be hidden, looking for the very thing most people would come here looking for, though his reasoning was far different to theirs.

Geosh noticed the new figure run off and he decided to chase the figure; he knew that the android was at least not a friend of the gangsters, and based on the exchange Geosh had witnessed, the cloaked figure seemed suspicious.

The gangsters are nowhere to be seen, possibly spurred on by the voices behind them, lost in the mess of decrepit alleys in this place.

There didn’t seem to be anything of that sort left, unfortunately, just some paperwork, probably to do with cleaning their drug money.

The cloaked figure groans dramatically, staring down the alley. She could give chase, take to the rooftops and try and hunt them down. Ooooor… Or she could head back inside, see if there was any clues to a second hideout or safehouse inside.

She nods to herself, decision made. Hopefully there would be something to find; if not, well, maybe there was some food to take? To that she can only shrug, heading back to the rear exit. She notices Geosh on her way and moves her wrist in what is halfway between a wave and a salute. @Nogus101

Runa slams the last drawer shut, likely splintering it around the handle. He growls and goes towards the back exit. He’d have to track them down and ask them himself.

“Oh, back already?” the stranger calls. “…there isn’t anything in there, is there?”

Runa glances at her. “Which way did they go.” He demands.
