Deception of the 8th Toa?

I understand.

I will go to my drawing board now

Bwahahahahah

I got a few ideas.

Same, I actually had some ideas for him, but you’re the artist.
Hear me out, tho?
I think this would be great color scheme,

And, it would be awesome if he resembled Feg the Mad Horned God. The antlers/horns, and the weird eyes. not the whole, naked thing.

I was gonna ask you for your ideas but this is perfect.

What if it’s not an actual toa per-say, but a shapeshifter that takes on the appearance of a toa?

Thanks so much~! I can’t wait to see what you make.

I guess I don’t really understand why it has to be a toa/look like a toa, lol.

how are the toa supossed to trust him at the start if he doesnt look like one?

I mean, I dont think the toa would trust something that looks like a wendigo, running at them saying “hey Im friendly”

@Asriel

You’re welcome, Feg says Hi.

Um, didya’ read what I said?

It’s just an idea for a story arc, and a new villain. Karrzahni tries to trick the Toa, by giving them what they think is a new ally.

well yeah but I didnt understand it fully

I had another idea that might be cool, but I don’t think it suits the character very well.
What if said evil 8th Toa was conflicted on which side to join, and maybe he falls in love with one of the toa, Lewa maybe. Of course the feelings wouldn’t be shared, but it might be good to help flesh him out.

IDK, maybe have them try and emulate the main 6, but rather distorted?

something like the shadow toa.

Distorted?

I think we can say Distorted is a good word for what I am making.

Created to gain the trust of the Toa, and use his powers to turn them against one another!

This AMAZING drawing was done by @ZceeNook!

What do you think, @IllustriousVar

Looks like Umarak. Which is cool, I certainly like it.

But does he really have to be a Toa?

(“Madness” is also kind of a silly “element” to have. I get that he is mad, but as a power? Mreeeeeeeeeeeeh)

These are plot points that would already be touched upon with Voriki.

Honestly, I’m not really feeling this idea but I cant say one way or the other about whether or not it would work in our canon simply because it really has nothing to do with our story currently.

Karzahni isn’t really a part of G3. For Brickonicle we’re only developing our three-year pitch. Karzahni is a backup villain in the scenario that our hypothetical G3 reboot was a success and Lego extended the line past three years. Essentially any storylines involving Karzahni is a hypothetical of a hypothetical that would likely never actually happen.

Lets say our G3 did actually happen, and Lego decided not to extend the line past three years, as it does with most of its IPs. Karzahni would have never even been mentioned at all.

This is why we were hesistant to bring him up in the podcast because his relevance to the actual story being told here is very minimal.

Our villain is Makuta, not Karzahni. The story you guys are wanting to tell with the “8th Toa” is essentially the same one with want to tell with the 7th, with less of a “mad chaos” angle.

Without the first three years of story fleshed out none of your ideas for the future stories will really work with our plans because there’s not really an established canon surrounding them at the moment.

Essentially you’re thinking too far ahead for me to really get behind any of these pitches.

Well…

Keep it in mind.

you never know how long you will plan for this. I am sure there are more people out there willing to make content if you continue.

Me included… Even though my succes with getting anything into your canon has been a up hill battle that I am not winning…
Not gonna stop me, Ill keep trying.

That looks so good, but wouldnt the antlers be to fragile if it was made?

@IllustriousVar Oh, well that’s a shame.
Maybe the other cast members would like it?
I was eager to see what @Ven or @Eljay thought, in particular.

We know it’s all very unlikely, but the entirety of G3 is hypothetical, so why shouldn’t we use our imagination? We know it would be along shot for any of this to be “canon.” We were just looking to help make a part of your own G3 universe.

They grow back… Eventually

As far as the design goes, I quite like it. I enjoyed Umarak, and this does resemble it quite a bit, so it works.

Pertaining to it being a Toa, I’ll have to echo most of what Var said. The issue with introducing more Toa in general is that they will have to be given quite an extensive amount of focus, given that they are Toa. That goes for any main/important character, really. And that is then focus that is taken off of our main six protagonists.

If you notice, the golden years introduced very few new characters. Most of them that were sets were recycled, and given little to no focus. MNOG Matoran have no character, and most Matoran during those years only got fleshed out later.

Generation 1 in general made it work because they relied heavily on pre-established characters. The Toa Metru, Inika, etc. Even Takanuva was a character we knew. That lessens the impact of focus, or backstory, because you already know them.

In this scenario, it would be shortly after Voriki, who will still need to be established, and as Var said, we’ll likely go through with those character developments with her. If you want my honest opinion, go all in with that Umarak comparison. Give him these legs. I think this concept could work as a stand-alone character as opposed to an 8th Toa, of which may not be necessary depending on how well Voriki ends up being received/fleshed out.
