Dekra, The Corrupted Mage

A self moc. Demu was once a turaga for the De-matoran in a village on the southern continent. He had extremely powerful Toa powers and had given them up to stop an asteroid that would have destroyed the Matoran universe. He became a turaga, but missed his old powers. When he discovered that Makuta Teridax had absorbed the Dark Hunters he had hired on Metru nui, he became obsessed with acquiring this power. He eventually found how to do it, after testing it on every villager in his village. He decided to search for a new being to absorb, and he found a group of zyglak, who he not only consumed, but controlled the remaining. He sent the zyglak to find Toa for him to consume. He grew so powerful, he began to grow a kanohi from his chest, the mask of corruption. He used the mask to suck the light out of masks by putting them on his face.

He also began placing small pieces of his soul into Toa through a spell that let him do so by doing it to all Toa’s spirit stars.
Note: this moc is a remake of a previous moc of mine.

This guy is really cool! His complexity really works, and I love how he looks.
Find a way to cover up the metru blue on the face, though.

The MOC looks great, the colours are distributed really well and most of the design is pretty cool, but my only complaint would be that the upper part of the torso looks a bit too blocky for the rest of the MOC.

Nice MoC. He’s kinda busy, but that doesn’t bother me much. That was creative how you used the Pohatu Nuva claw to attach the masks to his face. All in all, this was very well executed!

He looks pretty swag, kinda reminds me of the shadowed one. The staff is awesome too and a nice use of parts, my only issue are the feet/lower legs
######thats just a tiny nitpic though

What are you using to take pictures by the way? the photo’s are pretty blurry from what I assume is hand shaking?

There are some large MOCs I’ve seen that look like they’d be fun to fight. Others look super-intimidating and make me feel like I should run away for dear life. For me, this falls squarely into the second category. Nearly every piece, especially from the knees on up, give me the impression that this is a deadly being of immense power. The black-and-red on the weapon was a brilliant touch.

9.67 of 10. I’d bring it up to a full 10 if you could swap the blue Bordakh head for a black Rorzakh one. The piece is actually more common in black iirc, having also come with Bitil and Roodaka, so if you don’t have one you might be able to find one in a used lot or something.

Really unnerving and cool though. Give to builder-you a round of the clap-cheer. :grinning:

Thanks. I do have a black one, but it’s on The Shadowed One, and I did not want to destroy it for one peice, since it was my mom’s gift to me. Thanks for the generous points though.

Looks great

Pretty good, but the pics are blurry.

The blue head is odd, I’d recommend making that grey, but other than that, this guy is cool.
