I may as well post this here. I redecorated Valior temporarily for the Makuta contest. The majority of the public hates that I didn’t give him legs. But I wanted something different since every MOC was the same standard humanoid. Still reluctant on posting this here.
I feel like the levitation idea is interesting, would kind of play on that a bit more, maybe some kind of purple’ish flame beneath him either coming from beneath or rising up from the ground as he moves like some kind of ghostly shadow.
Purple would seem to kinda break up the color scheme. It was already hard enough to get this guy to stand. Plus, the ability to use system for smoke or detailing in that matter is very limited already. It would be cool if I could do more, though.
Well, it’s already entered so it’s kinda too late. Plus, like I said, it was only used as an alternative.
Yeah but the MOC is already apart and Lego already listed in the rules that updates are a hassle and difficult to follow as is [especially with the amount of entries.]
Plus, that orange is my only alternative and opaque orange would make the MOC itself bland. At least orange and translucent orange are still orange?
I don’t quite know how I feel about this… I loved the first torso WIP to death and was expecting to see an awesome MOC when I was done. The rest of the MOC - the arms and the waist, mainly - seem uninspired in comparison. It could be the the amount of detail - the torso is super intricate and complex while the arms, especially, are based off of simple armor pieces with little to no greebling. Also, the orange on the arms. It’s a relatively big piece and it throws off the color scheme to no end. Same sorta deal with the silver claw on his back, seeing as most of the other silver on him is in small pieces.
Still a good MOC - forearms aside IMO - but not what I would have expected or wanted.
