Delta Seven Jedi Starfighter

Just a revamp of Obi-Wan’s jedi starfighter. I’m of the opinion that Obi-Wan doesn’t actually own his own ship, since it uses the bog standard republic diplomatic livery. That said, looking back, I think the delta Seven is kinda underrated, especially with how it got overshadowed by the Delta Seven-B in the clone wars, though both are still cool ships.

Ah this looks pretty accurate to the source material. Nice job!

“Flying is for droids.” Yes I agree he likely does use a big standard ship!

This looks great, you really improved the set’s look.

Obi-Wan’s fighters were indeed all standard issue back in the Clone Wars era. Older EU material showed multiple Jedi flying around in red Delta-7s, including Anakin himself in a few Clone Wars comics (Notably, these showed Anakin being partnered with R2 during these scenes, which is a bit concerning when you consider that the Delta-7 didn’t have room for a proper a Droid socket, it just had an Astromech’s head stuck to the wing). Personalising one’s fighter didn’t come until later.

Sidenote: This is also a Delta-7, not a Delta-6. The TCW one (with the centreline Droid socket that supports a whole Astromech) is the Delta-7B.

I still need to shill out cash for Anakin’s Custom Jedi Starfighter

Its kinda nice seeing a well done moc of the Delta-7, because despite their need for partially disassembling your astromech to fit it, they were way more suited to the jedi who piloted them since they were lighter than the bulked up, more non-jedi friendly Delta-7b. That bit always annoyed me when Anakin, Saesee Tiin, and other particularly skilled jedi pilots flying them in TCW

In fairness, I do understand the story need for the 7B, as some episodes called for Astromechs to accompany Jedi.
