I used to browse DeviantArt…used to. It’s a great idea, but there is just so much garbage on it.

Also, why are people allowed to promote themselves here? ;-;

I wouldn’t necessarily call this “self-promotion”.
If you promote your youtube channel, for example, you would possibly get ad revenue out of it because people would check out the channel. On DeviantArt however, a lot of people (such as myself) don’t even make any money off of their work.
