Escape from Whitegate(RP topic)

“In my vision, I…saw something.” Michael slowly said.
“Do you know of a being named ‘The Shadow King’?”

#I know many things

“Oh okay, that’s good” Tarkur replied, “How does it operate, how are you able to make it run without magic?” Tarkur is quick to ask before moving on to another machine,

“We don’t really use ‘magic’ to operate most of our machinery.” Michael said.
“We use scientific methods, although there are a few artifacts that have magical properties.”

He then turned back to The Terminal.
“The Shadow King was an old creation of ours. But then he got out of control and we had to imprison him. Though I fear that he now may be trying to escape.”

#execute him, if you’re so worried

Michael shook his head.
“It is not that simple. He is required to live in order maintain a philosophical balance in The Multiverse. Both the Light and the Dark are codependent. The best we can do is contain him. And even if I wanted to, The Shadow King is not really ‘killable’.”

#without light and dark everything becomes as it was.

“You don’t get it; Without Light, there is only Darkness. But without Darkness, there is only Light. Either option is an unhealthy balance. And just taking away both factors would even worsen things. Without light and dark, there would be nothing, and potentially all life would be extinguished.”

#things can live without existing. I would know, as would you

Michael shook his head.
“Well, I will still try to find a more effective alternative before I immediately resort to killing him.”

#cripple him then. permanently

Michael thought for a moment.
"Well, there isn’t yet any proof that The Shadow King really is trying to escape. So for now I will have people closely monitor his prison. "

“Oh…” Tarkur responded intriuged by the mentioned methods and began disassemble one of the monitors. His eyes widened as he saw the wirering inside the computer. “You use small wires and green boards I see, that’s what powers it I assume.” He mumbled as he sent a small amount of lightning into the machine accidentally frying it and causing a small flame to erupt but before it could get going he quickly took out the flame.

Michael waved his hand at Tarkur.
“Don’t worry, it’s nothing really. Stuff like this happens a lot. It can easily be fixed.” He said.
Michael pointed his finger at the broken computer, and a beam of light cane out of it. The beam touched the broken device, and its parts were almost instantly reassembled.
“Now that is magic.”

#basic reconstruction really, just one of the powers of your primordial energy no?

“Not exactly.” Michael said.
“One of my given gifts was the ability to repair damaged technology and machinery.”

#ha! you got the lame power

Tarkur looked at him confused for a bit before shrugging and moving on to other odd machine one of which was a defiblirator he tried using it on himself he felt nothing and put it down again.

#i’d advise against touching that

“I have many other things abilities too. I can purge fear, I can…” Michael ran through an extremely long list.
