Evol Cherri

Say hello to Evol Cherri, a loooong overdue MOC, as she has been part of an OC trio with IX and Junie for quite some time, but I’ve really neglected to MOC her. Last time I did was in 2009.

Her appearance may be angelic but don’t let that fool you.

Artwork of the character the MOC is based on:

As you can see there’s a fair bit of difference between the art and the MOC, making a pose-able bionicle MOC with her features is quite the challenge, but I’m ok with the differences. Especially the dress, as I like the detail the dragon wing pieces gives it.

There are definetly problems with the MOC still, such as weak connections and posing issues. Issues I hope to address in the future updates of this MOC.

Also she turns into a dragon.

This first pic is blurry.

The hair is cool, but I find the lack of eyes unsettling

Well the batman-boomerang piece is supposed to look like eyelashes

Yeah, still, I find it somewhat unsettling

I know this is a ton to ask for in a moc but I do think it’d be cool if you painted or placed a sticker in one of the segments of the wing yellow to match the character’s eyes.

That aside the moc looks pretty neat. A major issue I have with it though is that it’s really busy, with a lot of distracting factors and exposed technic. The legs are fine and actually look pretty great. Really it starts with the chains. I’d reccomend only keeping one of them as the area is already quite detail heavy with the wing parts and dress, otherwise it’s a neat way to keep the fold found in the art. Once we get up to the inika shoulder used on the torso the issues start appearing more frequently. Overall it works but some things about the torso are super distractive of the overall. Namely the exposed grey and blue technic and the tan gear. It’s especially apparent on the sides, it might help to make the gold bohrok eyes white. I feel if the area where cleaned up a bit it’d look a ton better. Really it’s not a bad moc but I can’t help but notice the areas around the inika shoulder and it really hurts the moc. If it was white it could all tie in and it’d really help the elegant apearance the moc is based on in the art. I get it, technic in specific colors is usually expensive and not entirely common, and perhaps I’m just nitpicking but I really think if the moc was tidyed up a tad it’d help it go a long way.

Extremely impressive.
The shaping is great.

the gold 1x1 tiles on the torso look tan in 1/2 the pics.

other than that, dis nice.

The color blocking is great, though the arms seem unusual texture wise to the legs, though I imagine its just cause the CCBS parts look too awkward there?

And is that an elves dragon wing for the skirt?

That would actually be a good idea.

I think it looks good overall (love the way the dress was made) but the G1 parts (such as those in the forearms) take away from a human or fully biological vibe.

Reminds me of Palutena in a sense.
