My list is almost the same but this year I saw a movie that I didn’t really intend to watch at first and that became one of my favourites of the year, it was a small New Zealand film that wasn’t in thearters in most places, ‘Hunt for the Wilderpeople’ And I recommend anyone to watch it if they get the chance. My list in no real order:
. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
. Hunt for the Wilderpeople
. Deadpool
. Captain America: Civil War
. Doctor Strange
“The 25th highest-grossing film of all time. The film received the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Animated Feature.” Nah Zootopia was just a good movie.
I didnt really watch too many films in 2016… i suppose the Marvel movies and potentially Deadpool would be on the list - but cant really remember many others.
I have only seen three films from 2016: The Angry Birds Movie, the first Kizumonogatari film and Hardcore Henry.
Even as a Shaft enthusiast I can’t deny that Hardcore Henry was the most fun I’ve had at the cinema since Iron Sky. It’s an immature flick for big boys and girls and I highly recommend it to those who don’t need their parents’ permission to access Lego message boards. (Hardcore Henry is very graphic throughout its lenght, so don’t watch it if you’re underage or if violent material makes you feel unwell.)
-Norm of the North
-Batman vs Superman
-Assassin’s creed
-Max Steel
-The Angry Birds Movie
-Ghostbusters
real list:
Civil war
Dr.Strange
(The only movies I saw in theaters this year)
Zootopia
Actually I can’t think of that many movies that came out this year that I’be watched/liked.
NEW LIST (2017 EDITION BUT IT’S STILl 2016 MOVIES):
5 - Finding Dory
I love Disney. And this is a good movie. But other movies were better last year.
4 - Doctor Strange
Don’t get me wrong, this movie is fantastic, but I don’t like it as much as other movies.
3 - CA: Civil War
I didn’t get around to seeing this until 2017, but it was worth the wait. Great movie, and plus Spiderman debuts in the MCU in this movie (WHICH GAVE US SPIDERMAN: HOMECOMING)
2 - Rouge One: A Star Wars Story
My opinions on this have changed the least. Yes, it’s still a great movie. But I don’t think its “one of the greatest movies to ever exist” anymore. Still great though.
1 - Deadpool
It’s obvious why this is my number one
Honorable Mentions (In no order):
Zootopia
Good, but I didn’t like it enough to put it on my list. One of my favorite Disney movies though.
The Angry Birds Movie
I somehow liked this movie and still do (It’s kind of bad but so bad that it’s almost good)
X-Men Apocolypse
I don’t get why people hate/dislike this movie. I thought it was pretty good.
Fantastic Beasts
I liked this movie, but i’m not really a fan of Harry Potter so I found it to be a little boring at times.
