Favorite Glatorian Set

Hey guys. So, for those of you who don’t know, 2009 was one of my favorite years. I loved the diversity of the sets and how in the story, every character seemed to have their own background. It wasn’t just a team of six heroes fighting a team of six villains.

Please do not say Mata Nui, as he was never officially a Glatorian, and most people would probably choose him right of the bat.

So, who’s your favorite Glatorian?

My favorite would probably be Gelu, he had an interesting background, choosing to give up his place as second Glatorian of Iconox in order to protect Agori on trade routes instead. My second favorite would probably be Malum.

My favourites were Ackar and Gelu, mainly because they were very clean and wholesome sets, like the sets just made sense… I know that sounds a little weird, but I don’t really know how else to describe it!

Hm… Mine would probably be Gresh, although he has some flaws. His limbs are so skinny while his body is huge. But I got Gresh and Tarduk for my birthday, so I still love them… Although Tarduk’s pieces broke, and Gresh’s hands and feet pieces had to be replaced. So my Gresh is not longer authentic. :stuck_out_tongue:

There’s something about the lime green ball n’ socket joints that makes them break more easily than others. This bugged me, especially because it’s my favorite color xD

Gelu, but I liked Vastus too. Sucks they weren’t included in the storyline that much.

Vastus wasn’t, but Gelu was a main character in Raid on Vulcanus

I liked how gresh was in looks and all, but then I saw the legend reborn…R.I.P Gresh, Tuma, Kiina, Berix. You will be missed.
So after that I guess my fav would be either ackar or gelu.

After seing the legend reborn it took me a long time to see them as cool as they were in the comics etc. explaining the r.i.p
Kind of a personal trauma :stuck_out_tongue:

Mine is definitely Tarix. He had such a cool helmet and the blue and gold really gave him this bad-arsery feel.

I loved Gelu and Ackar

  1. Tuna
  2. Branar
  3. Ackar

Sorry, Tums, not tuna.

Normally I’d say Mata Nui, but that went out the window once I read the description.

I really liked Ackar, the veteran warrior willing to teach and learn. I also really liked his set (none of his pieces have yet to break for me).

My favorite Glatorian set was the Skrall. His dark look accompanied by a sweet sword and shield made him beautiful in my eyes. The unique torso design was also a nice deviation from the usual Inika-type sets.
Gelu is a close runner-up.

Ackar was pretty good. In fact, I’ve got most of him in my self-MOC

I loved the Skrall shield. It’s one of the most intricately detailed pieces that I can think of to date.

Is Tuma technically a Glatorian? I suppose I always thought of him in a higher class.
