Favorite weird building technique?

Do you have a technique you like to use while building that’s unconventional, uses parts in a neat way, or is just a little bit illegal? Have you seen such techniques elsewhere? Talk about it here!

Personally, I don’t really have a favorite building technique, but I do have a favorite disassembly technique I learned from taking apart my Rahkshi to make my first set of custom Kaita. When you have a pin-axle plugged into one of the two side holes of a Nuva hand socket, it can be difficult to get it out, so I discovered that you can remove it from the other side by putting a Guurahk staff’s prong into the side hole that doesn’t contain the pin-axle, then pushing the pin-axle out.

There are far too many building techniques I like to be able to pick a favorite, but I’ll mention one I discovered not too long ago.

You can fit a Tire 14mm D. x 4mm Smooth Small Single into the ratchet socket of the old LEGO Dinosaur canister sets. Said tire has a hole in the center as is typical of tires, and will allow unconventional methods of attaching pieces to the previously not very accommodating socket.

You can mask the shafts of of the longer rahkshi staffs by placing them inside lego window frames. A lot of bionicle pieces can be concealed this way.
